Some people have recommended this place for us to try...
I wouldn't call it one of the best restaurants in the neighborhood, no. It was an okay experience.
The atmosphere was a bit odd, it felt like we were in a canteen, quite noisy too. The humidity in this place was wild!! Make sure to go in with shorts on and a t-shirt, or you'll leave soaking in your own sweat.
The Codfish pastries were too salty, and so was the rice it came with. We couldn't finish all
My partner loved his meat! It was perfectly done the way he likes it, quite pink. The rice again, was very salty and the fries soggy.
The service on the other hand was amazing, the guy who served us did it so well too, super friendly. The only minus point was that he said he mentioned the fries and rice being separately charged when ordering the meat, which no other restaurant so far has done, also, we didn't hear him say such things, so we had to pay €4 extra for the fries and rice.
It's also quite pricey for what they serve, it's not even such a touristic part of the city.
I wouldn't recommend it when there are better places for cheaper and better looking too. But if you want a good piece of...
Read moreShould be better food and more plentiful for the prices. 42 euro for a racion (for two people) of Lulas and prawns. Received a huge plate of fried potato and five prawns (not enough and also not divisible by two people). A few lulas. The lulas were nicely cooked but not many at all for twonpeople. For that price we would expect lots of seafood. Also the appetisers are overpriced and poor quality. I know you need to pay for appetisers but they charge nearly 8 euro for 6 small breaded prawns. These were dry, cold and not freshly cooked. 4 euros for four tiny pieces of ham and cheese sandwich. They did begrudgingly take the prawns off the bill as we were dissatisfied with the quality and the price. Please read and pay attention to the negative reviews before going here. There are so many better value places you can...
