We stayed here for 3 nights and were very pleased with our choice. Welcoming and helpful staff on reception, the room and bathroom were spotless, the room itself was perfectly adequate and included a safe (although we didn't feel we really needed to - as Furnas and the hotel felt very safe - we did get a key from Reception to use it). Great air conditioning - quiet and effective, and needed even in mid-October. The front door is locked at midnight but you're given a key in case you are out late although we didn't see any evidence of much activity at night in Furnas. The buffet breakfast was adequate - local breads, cheese, ham, cereal, fruit and very nice freshly baked cake. Furnas is pretty small anyway, but the hotel is well located, just a few steps from Summer Breeze and O Miroma, the restaurants we ate in during our stay, as well as a couple of grocery shops and the tourist office. We parked in the free parking bays in the road opposite. We would be more than happy to...
Read moreTo be preserved: Very nice and pleasant staff, always trying to help, fair breakfast, good location To be improved: Very poor maintained facility. We stayed for 3 nights, the air conditioning worked only for cooling, we asked to fix it as it was cold snd very wet, the staff promised to help but nothing was done. They just provided us 1 blanket. At the first night electricity was down, so only cold shower in the morning (was fixed). On the third night there was some alarm in the lobby working for the entire night. No kettle in the room. No sound isolation in the room, you cannot sleep when your neighbors having a shower. One morning they served in the breakfast omlet from yesterday (was immediately fixed when we complained). Although it is 2* hostel, the price was very high compared to all 2 weeks stay in Azores (but it was reasonable compared to other...
Read moreI loved staying at this hotel. We stayed here with our whole family with young children as well. The staff was fantastic. We will miss seeing them each morning and night. They always made us feel so welcomed. It's the small things that also made the experience so special. One night I felt like I needed a warm tea to settle my stomach. The owner was there at the front desk and without hesitation went to make me a tea for me to bring to my room. The place was spotless. You can smell how clean it was. The rooms are nice and I especially loved opening the beautiful windows to breath in the fresh air and listen to the birds chirping. This hotel added to the amazing experience I had each day in the Azores. I miss it already and can't wait to go back. I recommend this hotel to everyone. You will not be...
