I checked into this hotel on September 26th 2024 after a 16 mile day on the Portuguses Coastal Camino. My tour company arranged the reservations for all my stays. I was accompanying a group of 5 who had used the same company but separately. After 2 of them checked in and the desk was free I presented my passport. He asked me if I was on the same reservation Not knowing if all reservations showed the tour company or not I said the name of the company. He looked angered and told me he couldn't tell me, I had to tell him.|He could have easily looked up my name to see if I was on the same reservation but he didn't, so I figured out I wasnt on the same reservation. I stepped aside and let my friends complete checking in. Don't know why he couldn't look me up and check me in too.||Anyway, the real fun started after I got back from the pharmacy with stuff to address the blister and twisted ankle I had acquired on my hike and asked for ice. A previous guest had asked for the same and been provided with a bucket. The man returned with a glass and 4 cubes of ice. I asked for more and he rudely said No! I said why not! He said we are making more ice. I explained about my ankle. He said if I didn't like it he would take the ice backhand give it to another guest. I muttered "unbelievable" and he went ballistic, calling me impolite and rude. I told him I didn't like his attitude. He got up in my face, pointing his finger at me repeating impolite about 10 times. I told him he was going to far and did he treat all his guest that way. He said he was the owner and I could sleep on the street. ||I couldn't belive what was happening and turned to go to my room| He got in the elevator and continued to rant all the way up to the door and then out his foot in the door so I couldn't close it. I feared it was going to get physical and asked to please remove his foot.||I immediately called my rour company and related the encounter. They had been very good up to this point were apologetic and said they would investigate. Still waiting to hear from them.||The guy did knock on the door 15 minutes later saying Room Service!. I opened the door with some trepidation and he handed me a bucket of ice. No apologies!!!||What a nut case. Either avoid this place or don't combine...
Read moreThe hotel was perfectly placed in the historic district. Our room had several beams that intersected the bed area that we kept hitting our heads on. They are painted the same color as the walls. ||When we checked out my husband made a passing comment to the host about the beams and that maybe they would want to put a color difference on the beams to distinguish them from the wall. A comment was all he did. The host grabbed his head and pretended to weep while shaking it. When my husband was fed up with his mocking he left and went to the garage where our car was parked. This individual then stood in front of our car mocking him again by grabbing his head and shaking it. He then proceeded to grab his crotch and stood by our car for several minutes doing this. ||A bit on the crazy side if you ask me. This seemed to ruin what we thought was a great...
Read moreThe hotel is great and the staff was super friendly and helpful ☺️
At breakfast the staff was so kind and gentle that it felt like your mom was taking care of you for breakfast! The only thing that makes me give the 4 stars instead of the 5 is that the price was too high.
We paid 89€ for one night (two person), the beds are not that comfortable and the breakfast is not that great for a 89€ a night. The price is too high for the level of comfort.
We stayed here as it was the only hotel with a free room this night, so we got a triple room. The TV in the room is ridiculously small for the size of the room 😅
The place is super clean and they are very strong in covid cleaning measures, so if you are concerned with covid this is a safe place.
They also have parking, we paid 3€ for parking the motorcycle...
