An Exceptional Stay – One for the Books!

From the moment we stepped through the doors, our experience here has been nothing short of incredible. The welcoming atmosphere was palpable, and the reception staff greeted us with warmth and genuine hospitality, setting the tone for a truly memorable stay.

We were allocated a Business Apartment, and upon check-in, we were guided through the parking rules—simple and convenient. As long as a space isn’t marked as reserved, you’re free to park anywhere at no additional cost, as it’s included in the stay.

The Apartment – Comfort Meets Functionality

The Business Apartment was spotless, beautifully maintained, and filled with a fresh, inviting scent. It was fully equipped with high-quality white goods, making it feel like a true home away from home. Thoughtful touches such as complimentary water and coffee, which were replenished daily during housekeeping, made all the difference. The kitchen left nothing to be desired—it was fitted with a fridge, oven, stove, coffee machine, kettle, cutlery, pans, and everything else you’d need for a self-sufficient stay.

The bedroom featured a large and comfortable bed, though the pillows leaned on the softer side. Still, everything else was just perfect. The bathroom was modern, immaculately clean, and well-stocked. In the living area, the sofa bed provided extra space and added to the overall functionality of the apartment.

Dining – A Mixed Bag, but Breakfast Stole the Show

We dined at the restaurant for lunch once, and while the dishes fell somewhere in the mid-range—not outstanding but certainly not disappointing—the breakfast experience was exceptional. Included in the stay, breakfast offered a fantastic variety of both traditional and modern dishes, striking a perfect balance between classic flavors and contemporary options.

One person truly made an impression: Ana Maria. Her warmth and attentiveness made our mornings even more enjoyable, and she even won over my son—let’s just say a little well-placed bribery worked wonders!

Wellness & Recreation – A Perfect Escape

The spa, gym, and pool were standout highlights of our stay. The spa offers a wide range of treatments and massages, though booking in advance is highly recommended, as it tends to be quite busy. The gym is impressively well-equipped, catering to all levels of fitness. The pool, with a depth of 1.55 meters, was the perfect addition, allowing for both relaxation and a refreshing dip.

Final Thoughts – A Place We’ll Return To

Without a doubt, this stay ranks among our top 10 experiences ever. The blend of comfort, hospitality, and amenities created an experience that was both seamless and memorable. Thank you for making our visit so...

"I was thoroughly disappointed with my stay at the Orhideea Hotel in Bucharest. The hotel is located in a dirty and industrial area, which sets the tone for the rest of the experience. The entrance is uninviting, and guests must carry their luggage up the stairs. The staff are average at best, and they don't wear uniforms, making it difficult to distinguish them from guests. The hotel's design makes it difficult to find your way around, and there's no security or CCTV in the lifts and anyone can wander around in the building. The rooms are large but dated, with minimal furniture, which creates a depressing atmosphere. The rooms are poorly maintained, with cracked tiles, no shower curtains, and damaged fixtures. The kitchen is under-equipped and the coffee machine doesn't come with cups or glasses that fit under the spout, making it useless. The dining area has a raised table with stools that are too high, making it uncomfortable to eat. The L-shaped couch doesn't face the TV and lacks cushions and soft edges, making it feel like a few single beds pushed together. The spa is only available for an extra fee, which is disappointing as the swimming pool is included only with the spa package despite being plastered all over the advertising images . The breakfast buffet is hit-or-miss; mostly miss with varying offerings each day. The staff doesn't seem to be trained properly, as they often forgot to replenish items or provided low-quality food. One of the biggest issues was the lack of fitted sheets on the bed, which made it uncomfortable to sleep. We also discovered that someone had accessed our room while we were out because we didn't find the 'make my room' tag under the slippers in the entrance way to the room. I emailed the reception desk to ask for the manager's contact information before writing this review, but they didn't respond. The hotel's location is also inconvenient, with a bus stop only going in one direction at the end of the industrial street but a 750 meter walk to catch a bus in the other direction, and no metro station nearby. The hotel claims to be 160m from Carrefour, but it's actually 750m away. Overall, I would strongly advise against staying at this hotel if you want a...

I arrived late (between 20:30 and 21:00) to the hotel.

The receptionist who gave me the room key and took charge of the check in was unrespectful towards me and not customer friendly.

This happened after I complained about the fact that I do not have access to the swimming pool and gym free of charge.

It is written on my booking that I reserved a business apartment without SPA, which might be understood as if there is a private spa in the apartment. This together with the fact that a SPA means the massage etc, which are usually extras.

Besides, a customer expects to be granted an exception and offered the access given the booking of a business apartment for 8 nights and not being told 'WE DID NOT FORCE YOU TO COME TO THE HOTEL' and 'WE WILL CALL THE SECURITY'...!!!!

I sent an email to complain. However, no one responds... I explained my frustration o the manager who said that they have 4000 positive references. This could be interpreted that an isolated negative review does not matter!

The restaurant is situated in the last floor without an elevator, so one must take the stairs to have breakfast, which is definitely not a 4 star hotel breakfast (max 2 stars).

Besides, one is not offered water on a daily basis except one bottle upon arrival. For any additional bottle, it will be invoiced 10 L...

The hotel is great. Its not 5 stars but its give you great value for money. We took room for 2 adult and 2 children and got a huge room with all whatever was needed. The view from the room was nice and the bed comfortable. We also had Jacuzzi tub :) The stuff was nice and helpful and we enjoyed the breakfast. The kids really enjoyed the swimming pool. If without kids you have sapa with different sauna, ice bath and tub for the feet. The location of the hotel is also very nice because its few minutes walk the karfur mall where you can have some food, buy groceries and more. *don't exchange shekels in the karfur mall. The rate is very bad and the stuff aggressive. *Better exchange in the city.
