I booked a 3 days popcorn hostel in Romania on the platform of booking.com. But after I made the reservation, I immediately received a rude treatment from the hostel owner: where is your id? Read the first message correctly! Do you know what is automatic check-in? Did you read the "whole" message? (Ten pages in one min.) I don't know exactly what he's talking about, and then I ask him if I'm not welcome? Can he cancelled if not welcome. He said: You won't ask this kind of question after you read it!!! I want to say who provokes who~ Pay to fight. I just said: You are very rude, I am not welcome, you can cancel... Him: Are you illiterate? No cancellation required. In Romania I have the right to call the police , not let you into the dorm , no refunds , just because I don't think you are good enough to stay in my hostel . You can write bad reviews, but where should I write your reviews to you? Your evaluation will sink into the sea! Because I will write a dozen or 20 evaluations for myself, and no one will pay attention to your evaluation! Come on, I'll give you an evaluation when you come. Then I reported to booking.com that in their policy rules it says anti-fraud, intimidation and invasion of privacy, they will stop or cancel the booking. But I told them many times that it was five days and four nights, and they only paid me back half a day's stay, and they said that the hotel would not cancel, so they couldn't pay me back. But their policy says above: they have" the right "to cancel and stop threatening scams. Maybe three days is a small amount of money; but why should I pay to quarrel and get no service? I'm a righteous people, it is necessary for me to react to such a big platform for violating my own policies and condoning intimidation of anti-violent criminals! Please be careful! Not a big platform will respect the policies he has written to enforce everything.

After reading the reviews, we had hesitations, but decided to book. And im glad we did! The location is super close to the train which came directly from the airport. Great for us who only need to stay one night! The beds have curtains which was so nice (we were in 9 person dorm) and the lockers are large enough to fit a carry on, backpack, and more. They come with a key. The shower had warm water and good water pressure. I was concerned about the online check in, but honestly the system was pretty easy to navigate, just check your email regularly. Also, all communication said that there would be no employee working; however, we did indeed have a staff member present. He was friendly and helped answer our questions. I assume he was here because it is busy season. I would rate cleanliness 7/10; mostly because common spaces could have been better maintained and there was some dust and a small spill next to my bed. The bathroom needed a floor mat for water from the shower, the trash needed to be emptied more regularly, and the couches/pillows could use a refresh. But it is clear that the hostel takes cleanliness/hygiene seriously. Also, I walked around for a couple of hours before sunset and I did not see any people or things that made me feel uncomfortable. I felt much more comfortable here than Chicago, Denver, Rome, or Dublin at dusk. There are two gates with codes as security. Overall, this place was much better than I expected after seeing the negative reviews. If the price and location are convenient for you, don’t be afraid to stay here.
