A comfortable place to stay, the rooms are spacious (my room is the smallest one in the hotel, yet it is still spacious for me), the location is strategic, the facilities are complete, there is a kitchen that works well, every week I get laundry service and my room is tidied up.
I actually want to give five stars, but unfortunately, there are some things that bother me.
The daughter of the hotel owner is very rude and impolite to guests. Every time I greet her she always answers cynically, and every time I ask her for help with something she will grumble in front of me in Romanian with a grumpy expression, while she actually speak English and I speak a good English to her.
The wifi connection in this house is so bad that I always have to use my own data. I am lucky because I have an unlimited data package, but for others who don't, this will be very difficult for them.
All my white clothes were damaged after being washed here. The washer did not pay attention properly to how white clothes should be separated from other colored clothes when washed or dried. And when I complained, no serious action was taken.
Not only that, I lost food that I stored in the refrigerator at home several times, even though I had only bought it a day or two before.
I don't know if I should recommend this place or not. I really hope that this place will improve, because this hotel actually has great potential, considering its unique concept and...
Read morei spend 2 nights mid august at villa 11. i chose the place mostly because of the price and covenient location for my purpose. although some reviews were not so encouraging, i gave it a try.||i arrived late in the night and had a wonderful and long conversation on spirituality with stefan, the owner. a man in his 60s, with a fine long beard - looking like a monk.||our talk in the lobby of this old villa, decorated as if i stepped into a movie set enhanced the storylike atmosphere.||then i went into my room. to my surprise, i found a squeeky clean, quiet and cozy place, where i really loved to spent 2 days and nights. ||next day i met stefan’s wife, a very nice canadian lady, who prepared the breakfast for me. i litterally felt like home.||i don’t know about other people’s expectations, but to me villa 11 was a great place to stay and when i’ll travel again to bucharest i will definitely come back to continue the spiritual conversations with stefan, have those yummy pancakes that stefan’s wife is baking, and have a good rest in...
Read moreDO NOT STAY HERE.
I think your defensive aggressive response will let anyone considering staying at your hostel think twice. We stayed 1 night but paid for 2 because we felt bad not staying for the four we had booked. I am not sure why you think I believe the world is full of slaves? Anyway, our toilet smelled musty, there were urine stains under the seat, there was a think layer of dust and feathers under the bed. I do not consider a 1 ring electric cooker to be sufficient for a hostel of that size. The pots of moldy food in the kitchen which were there when we arrived, were there when we left. The total lack of workspace in the kitchen, filthy pans and general lack of cleaning did not fit with the standard of hostels that we have stayed in, which number many. Yours is the worst. I chose not to write a review initially because I thought you were both nice people. How...
