Located in the heart of the Mamaia resort, Hotel Ges welcomes you with a modern, warm, and friendly design, a clean and well-maintained environment, all of which contribute significantly to a pleasant stay. We always return with pleasure, as the hosts go out of their way to meet the guests’ needs and ensure their comfort.||The rooms and bathrooms are extremely spacious—you feel like you can breathe, nothing feels cramped or overwhelming. The furniture is of good quality, modern, comfortable (with very large beds and sofa beds), and visually appealing. To create a homely atmosphere, the room includes many decorative plants and books.||This time, we booked a Junior Suite (living room with a sofa bed, bedroom with a double bed, AC, 2 LCD TVs, safe, microwave, fridge, coffee maker, with a usable area of 42 sqm), located on the first floor, with a partial sea view.||In the immediate vicinity, there are shops, restaurants, mini-markets, and bakeries. The Casino Square is just a few steps away. The hotel has its own parking (free of charge) and a private beach. If you choose the half-board option (HB), sunbeds are included. For bed and breakfast (BB), the cost is 30 lei per sunbed (early July rate).||Breakfast is very generous and varied, with high-quality products and visually pleasing plating. Items are constantly replenished as they run out. The coffee and juices are of good quality. On the top floor (5th), there is a terrace where lunch and dinner can be served. Since it was very hot outside, we didn’t eat on the terrace, but we reviewed the menu and saw that it was varied and reasonably priced.||We will gladly return to this hotel if we choose to vacation in...
Read moreThis review is about the restaurant/deck on top of the hotel, not about the rooms. First time we came here, to eat on terrace located on last floor of hotel, but it was windy and have to eat, at the restaurant inside, located at the 4th floor. Location is nice with a beautiful view to the beach and the sea. I thinks this is the same location where they serve breakfasts. I didn like because it smell like food inside the restaurant which is not very pleasant. Food was very delicious, the portions was big and with a nice plating, price are very good for the location and for a hotel with 5 stars, around 30-40$ for 2 person for a dinner. Second time we came, we was able to eat on terrace, and it was amazing, the view is absolutely splendid, you can see Mamaia, all the beaches and you get an awesome view to Black Sea, so you eat with a nice view. Again the food was delicious, came very fast and taste so good. Third time we eat inside, in another restaurant, located next to the entrance at first floor. This one was also a nice and fancy one, with a pleasant atmosphere and with good food, here was a nice smell. I have to mention, a nice lady who served us on terrace and on the first floor restaurant, who was very nice and polite. In recommended to eat here, to have a romantic dinner on terrace or you just want to eat a delicious food. The hotel is pet friendly and also...
Read moreConsidering that we were there outside the season, namely in November, we just assume that due to the location it might be noisy during summer on one hand, on tbe other hand you are immediately on the beach. The hotel has restaurant and self service catering, and a wonderful terrace with view on all sides on the roof. People were nice and hospitable. It was clean, the food was good, the breakfast was excellent. The best thing in the hotel is that is full of books everywhere, in the room, in the lobby.. that's great. The worse thing is that you hear everything from neighbouring rooms... terrible.. maybe the rooms that face the back of the hotel (not the sides) are better in this regard. The hotel has a parking behind it. We had a partial view to the sea, a small balcony, but that didn't give much possibility to put out drying wet clothes during summer, this is a minus. The hotel and the room look good, exactly on the seaside, at 10 meters from the telegondola, but the downsides were the noise from the neighbours, the smell from the bathroom, the lack of a rack on the balcony, the not so large choices of food at the restaurant at lunch/dinner (this probably changes during...
