Booked directly on their website and everything was as I expected.||The aparthotel is on the beach, has a private beach with sunchairs and umbrellas (free of charge for the hotel guests) , a beach bar and a restaurant with terrace. ||It is in center of Mamaia, to my best of knowledge, and close to shops, restaurants, and clubs.||We had an apartment with side sea view that is spacious, modern, and clean. I wanted the frontal sea view apartment but until I decided it was already booked.||The kitchen has everything we needed: refrigerator, coffee machine, electric stove, and electric mug. And of course, cutlery and crockery. The coffee is really good and, if the case, you can take coffee capsules and sugar sachets from the reception.||It was a nice experience to have breakfast served in the apartment, first time for me, and the choices are various. The breakfast is not the best I had, some improvements can be made, but the ladies at the receptions were very understanding and helpful, I asked for an omelet without peppers and cheese, and I got it :). I thought that the omelet was too salty because of the cheese but it turns out that the bacon was the salty one. ||You can add tea, orange juice or coffee, croissants(butter and chocolate) and fruits.||Cleaning is done daily but I am not sure if they vacuum daily, because today the floor was not vacuumed. But it wasn't o problem because the apartment was clean enough.||The bed and couch are really comfortable and there are a lot of pillows.||The terrace of the apartment is big and nice looking. It was great for enjoying the coffee in the morning when the beach and streets were empty, and for having a beer in the evening and listening to live music from the terrace (I’m doing this now). Of course, the best way to listen to the really good live music while enjoying a drink is a the restaurant terrace but I my kids don’t have the patience to stay at a restaurant after eating so…. There is a playground at the terrace but my kids are old enough no to be interested in playgrounds but not old enough to enjoy live music. 😊 ||The restaurant has really good food, although there are less options that other restaurants, good drinks and deserts. We had burgers, pasta and dynamite shrimps (kids really enjoyed them). The prices are above average but so are the food and the people. The serving was excellent and the people there friendly and helpful.||The music from the terrace is loud, but ends at 11PM. There is a club in the proximity that has also loud music until late night. Most likely in the front sea view apartments the music is less loud.||Overall, Riva is not perfect but no one is.||I definitely consider...

Read moreGreat! Kudos to Robert at the front desk. He is obliging, friendly, professional, and warm. Romania needs more Roberts in the service industry. His smile is infectious as is his sense of humor. Thanks to Irina,|the beautiful manager. She is also kind, professional, and friendly. She is always trying to make sure her guests are happy. For instance,|I told her the thermostat is set at 23 Celsius , and she offered to modify it. Although I did not , I appreciate her offer and open response to my criticism. |The Riva Mamaia is an “aparthotel” on the beach in lovely Mamaia, and centrally located. It has spacious accommodation of high quality and and incredible views and balcony from the front units or sea facing units. It is an impressive place. The breakfast was very good with both buffet and a la carte included. Excellent omelette. Thx Chef! |The beach is just right with great lounge chairs, and Johnny managing the area nicely. |The downsides are no pool, and |there was a DJ last night playing music till last 2200 hours. The music was middle eastern sounding, not Romanian or pop. How about some Taylor Swift, since she is storming Europe and the world. 😂. Honestly I would rather hear the waves crashing the beach as in Maui or St Barth’s. The hotel is on the main walking promenade, but has a secluded or private feel to it. Overall, wonderful stay. Thank you to Riva Mamaia and its staff/team for making our...
