Hotel Prestige — Hotel in Constanta Metropolitan Area

It's now the second year I've come to this hotel and I love it just as much as the first time. Clean,tidy,friendly staff and best of all,right on the beach,which gives an amazing view from the room's balcony and from the restaurant. A good diversity in the vacation packages as you can choose between breakfast included,halfboard or all-inclusive. | The rooms are nice and tidy and also have small balconies with 2 plastic chairs and a small table. You can choose between promenade view and sea view. I had sea view and it was amazing.|Also,you have an air conditioning unit which is very useful in the hot days or whenever you feel the need to cool down a little.| The food is just delicious,and there is a good variety in the menu so you can choose from many tasty dishes. Fast serving and friendly waiters.| It also has a beach right in front of it, but you have to pay to enter it. However you can be served with food,sweets and drinks from the hotel's restaurant, for which you have to pay as well,but at least if you have a craving,you will be rapidly served.| The one inconvenience is however the noise,as the hotel is situated right next to a club so the music keeps pumping until very late at night. For me and my girlfriend wasn't that much of a problem as we usually were pretty tired by the time we got to bed so we fell asleep really fast,as we always woke up very early to watch the sunrise and everyday we went for walks on the beach. For families and people that want silence during the night however,the noise issue can be disturbing.| All in all, this hotel is one of my favourites and I'm sure to return whenever I want to spend my seaside holiday in Romania. We stayed for 3 days on a booking made the day before arrival. We paid Côte d'Azur on/close to the beach prices, for a room equally small. I find the prices high as they compare to Cagne sur Mer, Antibes and Juan du Pin etc in the South of France - as the area does not justify them. Our room was not facing the sea, which was actually good, as it was quieter. The windows further blocked the noise and we rested well. The room was new, very clean and the breakfast good (bit boring as it was the same each day, but European breakfast and of good variety). While the hotel was right on the beach - a big plus to get out of the hotel to the beach - we had to fight to get beach towels (yes, there are still places in the world where a hotel on the beach does not believe beach towels have to be included!!!) and were lectured by the beach personnel that the beach (even if it is named the Prestige beach as the hotel), is not this hotel's beach and even if the chairs are included with the stay, only the last rows on the beach are for this hotel etc, etc..... Very, very annoying. The hotel is nice and (not withstanding the high prices, that appear to be the norm for Mamaia), to be recommended (rather at 3 stars not 4, I would say), but they have to better manage the surroundings - mainly...

We stayed at this hotel for one week at the end of June; the room was nicely decorated but the bathroom very small, and the shower was broken ( we could only hold it to shower);there is no phone in the room, kind of weird for a 4 stars hotel; there is a minibar but the drinks are never very cold, the a/c was working properly. The room was cleaned every day by two nice ladies , I guess nicer than the rest of the staff who needs some more training, they should try harder to satisfy every single need their customers have.||I can’t comment too much on the food, we only had breakfast which was good (there were enough choices - eggs,cereals, toasts, cheese, sausages, fruits, coffee , tea, muffins, cookies..We only had once supper at the hotel, but it was not really good ( food arrived almost cold, taste was so and so).||I think this hotel is all about location, right on the beach, but I wouldn’t recommend it for families or people who want to relax because there is a lot of noise -a few clubs and bars around ( the music was loud until 2 am during the week and until 5 am the weekends!!!!!).
