Shine — Hotel in Mangalia

Me and my boyfriend stayed for 2 nights at Boutique Shine Hotel. The room appeared lovely at face value - the decor was nice and furnishings in the room were stylish - plus the room was a really good size. And you got a safe in the room which is good. However once you started looking deeper, it really was not worth the 4 star rating. The mattress was uncomfortable with a sheet which didn't even fit the bed properly. Plus the duvet cover wasn't put on for us, I had to put this on myself when we wanted to go to bed. Additionally, the pillows were very lumpy. The shower did not work properly, the flush on the toilet kept getting stuck and the towels were very scratchy. Things in the room were just getting a bit tired really and probably due for replacement! |The breakfast was disappointing, for a 4 star hotel you expect more than a self service breakfast buffet with not many options and cheap ingredients. The orange juice was not fresh orange, it was diluted juice and the whole thing just did not look appealing. The owner of the hotel did not ask how our stay was or if everything was OK when we left, she did not seem to care much to be honest.|My parents own a 4 star hotel in England and charge a lot less per night and the rooms are of a better quality, the service is better, you feel more welcome and the breakfast is fresh with quality ingredients and brought to your table for you. |The boutique shine hotel looks nice, it is clean and has a nice pool and outside area. The young staff that work there are nice and try to help you as much as they can. |But Overall, we would not return, we stayed at a 3 star hotel in Mamia before we stayed in this one and it was much much better! If you want to ruin your holiday this is the place to choose! This hotel has services and condition of 1star not 4!! The shower doesn't work properly in any room, there is an awful smell in the rooms, the breakfast is with cheap salami and cheese and even worse than this is the personnel!!||I think they were the owners... when we asked them about these issues they started to yell at us saying that we shouldn't ask for this and they are trying to solve the problems but it will take some time...meaning after we leave... They had such a bad attitude and they made us feel like we should be grateful that we are their customers!! The hotel is a complete kitch, that gives you a really bad mood, the windows are facing either a noisy street(for which you have to pay more because they say is facing the promenade) or another building that is really 2meters away!! Neptun is a busy beachplace, many romanian people are coming there, certainly during the weekend. This hotel is just outside the very busy area, so you can walk to the centre within 3 minutes, and will hear no loud music. and if you go to Olympics, village just 5 minutes walk from the hotel, you will find quiet beautifull beaches, not overcrowded with lots of people. If you want a lot of music just go to the beaches of Neptun. Too bad they speak no english, but they try. ||It was a very clean hotel with big room and a perfect bathroom.
