Doina — Hotel in Mangalia

I stayed in this hotel for 5 days with my co-workers as a business trip. I was not impressed by anything. It is an old and average hotel. First of all, the receptionists were angry and bored, almost rude. The first impression was we disturbed them.Location of the hotel is not at all good because it's far away from the sea. To get to the beach you must pass the street, and walk a lot. The room was old and not very clean, the bed sheets broken on the edges, hair everywhere, the bar was empty, in the bathroom even not a hairdryer. Of course not slippers, not bathrobe, not shower cap, nothing. In the bathroom everything was rusty. Only the balcony was nicer. If you stay in a double room, they give you only one key for the room which is disturbing. Wifi was poor, I stopped using it. We had 3 meals, but very bad meals, the food was awful, only the restaurant captain was ok, Mr. Gica, he sometimes sings live, because we had live music every evening. Except him, I didn't like nothing to this hotel. The food was not only repetitive but almost no food to eat, nothing to choose. The beach is dirty and sunbeds are expensive. If you are smoker, you can smoke on the balcony if the old neighbors from another rooms don't come to your door in the night to ask you not to smoke because the smoke will go to their rooms. It was awful. Generally the guests are old people who come for treatment. I definitely don't want to go again there, especially for a vacation, and I don't recommend to nobody...

I come in Neptun with some informations about this hotel, especially location and utilities. Hotel is very, very clean, location is about 500m from the beach, but the street until to the sea is very nice ( trees, lake, elegant houses) . The hotel have a excellent business building (conference rooms, all IT solutions etc) and also a very nice spa clinic (including an interior pool) , where people with medical problems can improve their situation. Bad points: no outdoor pool, the rooms are not very large (very tall people can feel a little inconfortable) and the staff (especially at restaurant) is not very carrefully all the time. The manager is OK and try to do the best for the clients. Breakfast is complete and had a prety large offer (chease, sausages, variety of eggs, boleteria, tomatoes, etc.), Until to the city center is about 15 minutes walk, but is not a problems because its position offer posibility to go to the north side, where the landscape is very nice. The nearest beach is also very clean , fine sand and the depth of the sea is less than 180cm for a good distance from the shore. This kind of beach is ideal for kids. Basicly is not a perfect hotel , is just a fair 3...

Good value for a three stars hotel. The modern clinic (open for all guests) has doctors on site (free consultations) to orient guests towards the treatments most beneficial to them... it offers great budget friendly services (ranging from $8 for a 10-15 min mud or Vichy massage or 20 min plants ir sulphur baths to $20 for physio). The clinic assist guests 6 days a week and has treatments for a multitude of conditions... a must try! Adjacent spa facilities also offer the expected spa treatments and packages with prices ranging from $ 20 (for 40 min massage) to $50 for a 120 min package (including aromatherapy, body peeling and relaxing massage). I would recommend visitors to go to the Olimp beach instead of Neptun (as the hotel is at the border of the two resorts the distance is about the same). Restaurants and night life are better in...
