Boutique Hotel von Graf — Hotel in Sighișoara

New location, recently renovated, in the citadelle. Clean. We did not like: they did not ask or check the covid certificate we were not able to see what room we booked on Booking.com, and when we asked for a certain room, they said with a bit of arrogance "But didn't you see what you booked?". Well, no lady, cause it's not possible. And they continued "it's a special room anyway". Which we would have appreciated to have known from the beggining, as it was a split space, with the bed in sort of an attic, with acces via a ladder. Wish we would have stayed more than one night in this marvelous little hotel in central Sighisoara. So comfortable, so well located, such gracious and attentive service. Honestly, we arrived in the middle of the Medieval festival, the busiest day of the year in this small town, and the hotel front of house was incredibly on top of everything with our check in. Made us feel so welcome. We had a large room overlooking the street which was super comfortable, peaceful and simply and elegantly appointed. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here - the location is amazing as it sits on the quiet cobblestone street at the city walled citadel, and it feels like you are stepping back in time. We arrived at midnight and were given clear instructions how to enter the building. One thing that I could not fathom is why the staff needed to wait until the last moment to provide the instructions - it was a bit bizarre. The hotel is wonderfully decorated, and the breakfast is great. We felt like the staff could have been a bit friendlier - it felt like the guy was annoyed when we asked him some questions.
