We were unlucky to book this place for our stay in Moscow and I have to say that is the worst experience we had in 15 years of travels.||This place is an absolute scam, the receptionist is a liar and I absolutely advice against booking this place.||Upon our arrival the receptionist candidly told us that they don't have any room for us, that they don't care about Booking.com reservations (even if confirmed by credit card) and that they provide us another hotel in another part of the city that they consider centric.||Well the problem started at that point, we saw the other hotel they were providing and this place was outside the second ring of Moscow, now you understand that if you book a place in Arbat and they send you in a place outside the second ring (an hour away from where you booked) this is a SCAM.||But this was not enough, meanwhile we were there trying to contact Booking.com many other tourists arrived (around 12/15 people in just one hour, a girl started even crying for the whole situation but the receptionist didn't care) and they were proposed the same exact thing, this means that our situation was not just an unfortunate case of overbooking but was their tactic to scam people: book an hotel in Arbat and send you in another very far.||The worst part arrived after, meanwhile we were complaining and we contacted Booking.com we realize what happened: Booking were trying to convince us to go in the hotel they proposed because the option they proposed was in the center but thankfully my girlfriend is Russian and we realized the whole SCAM: meanwhile the receptionist was speaking with the Booking.com representative (by phone) we realized that she (the receptionist) was telling to the Booking support that they would send us to a place in the center giving Booking an address in the center meanwhile telling us ANOTHER ADDRESS, so they passed for the right ones with Booking meanwhile sending us to the hell of the city.||At the end we booked another place and we went there spending the double of the money for what we will ask a full refund with a lawyer.||So MY ADVICE IS TO STAY FAR AWAY FROM ALL THE HOTELS OF THIS CHAIN.||Furthermore meanwhile there we realized that the rooms were very claustrophobic and the place is very dirty and stinking, another reason to never go...

Read moreI am a very easy to please traveller but going to give this place my first negative review ever - this place is really NOT WORTH the saving and definitely shouldn't call itself a hotel. It is a hostel. The room was the tiniest room I have ever seen in my entire life, there literally is space only for a bunk bed and to make two steps alongside it. This wouldn't be a huge issue in itself though. No windows and CRAZY THIN WALLS - it was impossible to sleep. This was an issue. You'll be able to hear everyone in the hostel like if they were standing right next to you and the guests were very noisy until late night - and multiply the noisiness by the thinness of the walls here. The girl at the reception spoke no English and made absolutely no effort with us whatsoever and completely ignored us everytime we walked in or were leaving and even when checking out - surely she knows (or should know) to say "hello" and "bye" either in English or Russian??! Absolutely zero customer service and the only thing I saw her doing (when she was around) was putting make-up on in front of the mirror hidden in one of the corridors. The only positive about this place was the location (20 min walk to the Red Square) and the place was clean but I repeat - it is not worth it. The Moscow metro is awesome (tourist attraction in itself) and you'll make far better choice if you are on a budget by staying perhaps a bit further in a decent (and still reasobnably priced) accommodation as will be able to be in city centre in a matters of minutes by metro. The second and last good thing about this place was that it is a great story - I was laughing for 5 minutes when I saw the size of...
