...now is just simple hotel which pretend to be a 4th star. Luxury from ancient times, attacks already at the entrance in the form of dusty, crystal chandeliers and worn out, here and there carpets on the stairs. Nice lady on the Reception, after my request for a quiet room, giving me key card to the room with view to the main railway station, and the one of the loudests city street. But noise from the street is not that annoying, comparing to the noise from the neighbour rooms. Walls were so thin, that when the guest in the room next to mine, sneezed, I felt like he was sitting next to me. So every morning, me and this, unknown guest, woke up at 6AM, as his alarm clock was set for this hour. Even that I planned to sleep bit longer. ||WIFI in the room, was terrible. I was no able to use Internet. When I check with speedtest - it showned me less than 1mbit download bandwidth.||So beeing offline, I decided to watch TV, for some entertaiment. But even that hotel is located less than 100km from the Polish boarder, there is no Polish channels. But you can watch Korean or Russian TV... ||And the breakfast. When you woke up that early, in some hotels it is a pleasure to go for tasty breakfast. Not in this one. Diluted scrambled eggs, burnt bacon and cheap sausages. Only bread was tasty fresh everyday. ||So hotel generally it's average. On one hand location in the city centre it is advantage, but if you looking for silent night - go somewhere else. If you like oldskool luxury hotels, then you will love this one, but if you looking for simple, clean and modern style - go...
Read moreThis hotel has very good location across a train station and at the beginning of pedestrian zone, about 5 minutes of walking from city center. It is furnished and decorated in a way, which used to be considered a luxury hotel many years ago - revival style, including heavy curtains and drawings in massive frames. But it is amazingly clean and have very good beds. Welcome letter I found in the room was nice detail which made me smile after a long day.||Good bed and friendly and helpful staff were reasons for coming back after my first visit in autumn last year. Unfortunately during my 2nd stay staff, especially in a restaurant was not that friendly and helpful. First night I left the restaurant disappointed and next evening I preferred to go to other restaurant in the city, although food was excellent. Hopefully it was just a bad luck and next time I can enjoy the stay as much...
Read moreAn average 3 star hotel - but make your own opinion
Positives: Rooms are very clean staff is polite good location - near the railway station and the city centre bed matras quite ok rooms and other spaces decently furnished steam shower with massage function
Negatives: i had a deluxe room, so the standard one may be less appealing comparing the pictures see the view out of the window - are they serious? 90% green wall 10% view the wifi usability and speed is a joke so is the breakfast selection and quality (eggs dried out and the only other option is sausages, everything cold, low quality foods, poor selection) one elevator not functioning and i got stuck for a moment in the second one - makes you wonder about the investments in the hotel like do they replace filters on...
