Hostel Fontana — Hotel in Žilina

Worst experience with a hostel ever. In the beginning we waited 3 hours until the check in (he didn’t even picked up the phone in check-in only after one hour), and then the host was drunk when he greated us. The host was harassing me everyday, said he is the owner and has the right to come into our room. the kitchen was not clean at all. The stove filthy and sticky, the cutlery was also rusty and dirty. Unisable to say the least. The guy also woke us up everyday with shouting and was unpolite and disrespectful. The location was the only good thing about this hostel. I’m attaching the message the guy sent to my girlfriend’s private number after she left a one star rating. He should be more respectful to women who even has the courage to talk to him. Its a shame because Zilina is a beautiful place to visit and this Hostel is in the heart of it, but avoid this place...

Horrendous service! I don't have a local phone to call the hostel for them to open the front door to the bed I paid for online. I had a someone else help and call the number but was told I need my own phone if I'm traveling abroad and that this is not his problem. I asked for a refund and he said he did not understand. I've been to many hostels here. This is surprisingly very poor costumer service.

Then at 8:30pm the same man walks in to the dorm to tell me he's the owner that this is his property and says "you listen to me, if I don't like it, leave!" Tells me that on his website it says you need a phone to access the Hostel but there is no website nor was this expressed on my booking site.

In the first encounter all he needed to do was tell me how to get to my room politely instead of attacking. Not...

Síce je tento Hostel v úplnom centre Žiliny, no to je asi všetko čo je na tom dobré. Po rezervácii som sa snažil kontaktovať niekoho na čísle ktoré je vylepené na dverách. Na prvý krát som sa nedovolal, lebo telefón bol vypnutý a na druhy krát mi zdvihol pan s nepríjemným tónom. Potom prišla zmena a zavolal mi milý pán, ktorý nám odovzdal izbu a kľúče to bolo druhé pozitívum tohoto miesta.

Izby su zastarané, smradlave je tam cítiť pleseň a cigaretový dym. V izbe bola dosť zima a vybavenie nič moc škripajuca posteľ, na ktorej sa nedala nájsť poloha na spanie aj pri čo i len malom po otočení vída hrozný zvuk na celú izbu. V kúpeľny neznesiteľný zápach z odpadu, a zjavný náznak plesne, pri sprchovaní som sa musel držať aby som nevyvratil večeru.

Ďalej si dajte pozor na to čo si zoberiete so sebou, pretože po príchode sme nedostali ani kúpeľňové prádlo čo sa mi ešte nikdy nestalo v žiadnom ubytovaní v Európe, ktoré stalo 30 euro, že by som nedostal základné hygienické potreby. Pokiaľ nebudete v núdzi určite sa tomuto...
