Žilinská Kozlovna — Restaurant in Žilina

Came for lunch at 13.30, left with empty stomach at 14.25.

We wanted to order daily menu, which looked delicious from others' plates. They also had a huge sign offering daily cuisine. We sat down and ordered quite quickly, but waitress stright out rudely said they've ran out of the daily menu. We ended up ordering traditional Halušky, which I suppose are not hard to make, food didn't arrive for 45minutes. In the meantime we checked and the restaurant had good reviews, by that time we were in good mood but already hungry and decided to be patient, maybe they are just busy... After asking the waitress (who disappeared for periods of time, she didn't come to offer another drink or apologise for taking so long) when will our food be ready, she said it is just to be finished. She comes after a few minutes with wrong order, then she was checking the order with other waiters and the food doesn't go anywhere from what we could understand. We asked her to only pay for drinks and leave. She disappears again... in the meantime, people at the neighbouring tables who came 10-15min later than we did, get daily menu for the whole table?! We had to go inside to pay for drinks, very unpleasant experience, bad service, even though food looked delicious, I don't think it is reasonable to wait for such a long time for food, considering that the indoor capacities were only 1/2 full.... It would all be better with a bit of explaination. You seem to take quite a bit of time to answer to all of the reviews here on google, please transfer that to the...

After having our food and leaving a tip, we asked a waitress at the bar if she could fill our bottles with tap water as it was 30 degrees outside. The waitress said that tap water is not free to our shock and I said that we just ate there. Then we said we can pay for water ( which is ridiculous, but unfortunately there is no free tap water in Slovakia in 21st century) but she never replied to that and started to pour beer for someone else and ignored us. Then we asked if we should pay again with no reply from the waitress and she filled our bottles with disgust. To our disgust, we won’t be back. Terrible service. No customer service skills, no appreciation of customers whatsoever. Customer service in hospitality in Slovakia is at the point 0 so I guess I should not...

The Pork fillet with mushroom sauce was amazing, the best plate I have never taste here in slovakia, also the other meals taken by my friends were smelling good as well

The crepe for the dessert was okay, nothing special but still good to finish the diner

The ambiance was also nice, crowded place so if you want a seat, you and yours, a big table or just a table for 2, maybe you should make a reservation (online), It can be done in 5min and check in one hour However, the waiting was very long … at least one hour If I’m right, no kidding But it was worth
