Even though the hotel is nice and cosy, but they are far from 4 stars
Pros: -Nice spacious room. We had windows facing the backyard and had a bit of a Mountain view and great joy to wake up with the sun! -Location. Everything is one step away — from the city centre with all the restaurants and cute old town streets to the railway and bus stations. Across the street, there’s also an entrance to the shopping mall. -Reception staff speaks English -The Internet is quite good for the hotel -Good breakfast selection. Prosecco is definitely a big benefit 😁 -The option to open the window in the room is great and not as common in hotels. -Carrot cake in the restaurant is a must-have for those who love sweets! So juicy and creamy 🤤
Cons: -The cleanliness of the room is not ideal: we had an old dark web above our bed on the ceiling. -The lead of the toilet seat was broken and nobody told us about it upfront, so I needed to double-check myself if they are aware that it was broken before us. -The glass in the shower that is supposed to protect water from leaking missing the bottom rubber part, so the water goes down on the floor -Communication is very low if not absent. During the check-in, we asked about the free hour in the spa that we had with our reservation and about massage options. The lady said that we need to reserve it up front, as it’s gonna be just for us. We discussed our time availability and agreed that she’ll check the time slots at the spa and will contact the massage therapist to make sure about the time. We asked them to contact us via email, as most of the time we won’t be in the room. No one ever reached back to us. -If your room will face the street, it’s gonna be quite noisy. -Mattresses are old and not exactly comfy. Even our Dormeo at home is better. -Towels. Are so old that there were 2 holes in one of them. -The beds are not for tall people 🥲
General impression. It’s a nice hotel that has the potential to be 4* but far away from it now. As a guest, you can forgive a lot of technical issues like broken toilet lids etc. But for that, there should be cleanliness, good communication and small final touches that show you that you are appreciated (from the card with flowers on the bed as a welcome to small...
Read moreWe booked this hotel as a stopover on a trip because it said it has a spa and is four star, both of which are untrue. The hotel is pretty at first sight but then you can see how old and worn out a lot of things are. The room was very clean and comfortable and we slept very well. However, the spa only has a whirlpool and a sauna (not a pool as advertised online) and the whirpool was broken and you have to order the sauna to be warmed up?!?! After an hour and a half the sauna had only gotten to 60 celcius so we gave up on it. You also only get an hour of the "spa" included in the room price and you have to book the time. The worst part of the hotel is the services. We booked two expensive rooms but they still asked for a 3 euro parking fee for the car. At breakfast there is a coffee machine but you have to pay extra for anything but terrible filter coffee. There is an omolette station with no one working there. The staff watched us wait for ten minutes then when I asked if someone was there they went to get the chef who came out a few minutes later. We also couldn't stop laughing because there was one capsule of nutella on a huge plate for everyone to share. It is close to the centre and the beds were...
