Very functional hostel, which was clean and in a good location. Doesn't have huge amounts of character... it looks and feel a bit like a bit block of flats, but you're only here to sleep, right? It's located in a courtyard, so set back from the road and you have to enter through a kind of tunnel, but it's pretty easy to spot and feels safe enough. They could really do with getting some artists in there to paint the walks with murals and something other than white. The common room and basement bar are thankfully both good and the only parts of the building which actually make it feel or look like a hostel. Generally it was very quiet and peaceful while we were there, so apparently not a party hostel at all. Must say it was hard to get a smile out of the staff, which I think say a lot about a hostel and how fun it is to stay there. The hostel is also opposite a very nice arthouse cinema and bistro cafe, both are definitely recommended. Otherwise the old town is only a 5-10 minute walk away. And perhaps most importantly, the price of rooms/beds here is a bargain, so all round a good place to stay when in Bratislava. If you found my review helpful, please give me a thumbs up 👍 Thanks!

I stayed here for 2 nights in a mixed dorm room. I couldn’t find anywhere where it said if they assign beds, they don’t, you just choose a bed when you’re there. I did message ahead and they could reserve one for me but I didn’t get back to them. Lockers in the room for a €10 (cash) deposit, lockers are spacious with a coat hanger. Given a name tag to assign your bed and your bedding. Each bed has a shelf and plug socket. Beds were comfortable and room was quite spacious despite 6 of us in there. There was one bathroom for 3 rooms, generally this was fine except for one morning, I had to run downstairs before my old lady bladder gave up on me! Showers were fine. My room was on the 5th floor, theres a lift. Was lovely and quiet, fridge outside the rooms. Basement had all the facilities, very well equipped and again, clean. Staff were super helpful, they answered any queries and were welcoming. The hostel is just outside the main centre, quick walk in and the street felt safe (I was a lone female traveller). Easy to find. Bolt taxi from the airport parked outside, cost around €7. There’s a tram stop outside too, and shops. Lovely hostel and very much would recommend

I stayed here for a night and i was sent from another hostel ie Urban Elephants , Urban Elephant hostel receptionist rejected me because I’m 33 year old. Later i got to know that Urbal Elephant hostel for those people who are less than 25 years old and who like to praty whole night. Patio is the best option for all age group people. The staffs are very polite, humble and decent. Coming to the facilities, here you get bed sheets free of cost, very comfortable bed , room with 4 beds for 10 Euro, private bathroom, for towel you have to pay 3 euro, small wardrobe too keep your bags free of cost, kitchen to cook urself and laundry. If anyone planning to visit Bratislava this Hostel is the best option .

This is a great little place!!! I had no idea by its description online. I stayed in Room 14 which had four beds (on the ground - no bunk bed) in a ladies only room. The bed was fine, there were two outlets right by my bed clearly dedicated to my bed. The hostel provides a bath towel and a bath mat (super nice) and also a packet with earplugs and shampoo/body wash. Also, each guest gets an in-room locker plus a key to the lock ($10 Euro deposit for keys). The hall bathroom was really clean. There were several shower stalls each in it’s own little room with a door. Same with the toilets and the sink was more open. Downstairs there’s a super nice newer kitchen in a bigger room with dining tables. There’s also a good sized luggage room that is monitored with cameras and locked. There’s a bar and at check-in I was given a coupon for a free drink. An outside patio that’s super cute with plenty of seating and an inside lounge with two computers, are available, as well. Best of all there’s a really bright and clean laundry room with two washers and dryers each, for free. Detergent is a little baggie for 1.50 Euro. There are drying racks in there, as well. The parking lot looks pretty secure. Walking or driving to this place, you turn off the road and go through this little tunnel under a building, go maybe 30 feet further and then there on your left is the hostel. There’s parking. The staff was friendly and helpful enough last night, and the guy there in reception this morning was very nice and helpful. You can’t go wrong with this place. I guess it’s not that little, but everything about it was really nice. I felt welcome and comfortable as a woman traveling by myself. Not too far to the main...

Unfortunately very rude and disrespectful receptionist on Christmas (Jana) and claiming that i'm the one who is rude and is telling it to her colleagues even to the ones who were not here at that day. According to the receptionist (Alex and Jana) it's also not possible to contact the manager (like it's really impossible as if he is living in another universe). After trying again Alex was willing to contact him but assuming that the manager will not answer anyway.

But it seems like the manager is not the only one who is not answering and not caring. I was trying to call to receptionist over 14 times (different times slots). Nobody is picking up the phone. Jana said, that she was not here the whole day and therefore she does not know what was happening. She also said that the phone was not ringing. So I went outside and called again (at 16:27) and i could hear it ringing but she was just ignoring it. That's the only explanation i have. The next day in the morning i talked to Alex and he explained to me that the phone (the only one they have) was silent but is working now. I tried again a bit later. Nothing again.

The next day the manager was there suddenly. And here i understood why Jana and Alex behave like that. Unfortunately the manager himself does not care and is not interested in satisfying the customer or finding suitable solutions.

I would think twice before spending the night there. I know that one can not expect much for this price but there are some other great hostels in the region (same price more or less) with a better look and nice receptionists (my...

The staff I met were very friendly, & it's very clean throughout, with individual plug sockets & a little shelf, but that's about all that can be said in its favour.

The beds are squeaky and uncomfortable, because beds aren't assigned by number, naturally more intellectually challenged guests don't stick to their designated key-operated locker & just dump their things in lockers they can't lock because you have the key, meaning you either take all their things out & put them on the floor if you're rude, or sleep with your bags next to you 🤦🏼‍♀️

There are signs everywhere reminding guests to be quiet between 10pm and 6am, but of course these are ignored; however nothing is enforced by staff, so when a fellow room resident went to complain about the noise from the courtyard at 2am, they were told that there was a party happening that they couldn't stop, and to expect noise and music. This really isn't ok, if parties were advertised in advance, or weren't breaching their own covid rules that would be more acceptable, but this hostel is attached to residential apartments, so this must be a constant nuisance for the long-suffering neighbours next door. It's not the hostel's fault that guests are inconsiderate, but it is on them to challenge the behaviour.

It's close to the historical city centre, only 10 minutes or so on foot, and opposite the tramline making access around the city very simple, but it's one of my least favourite hostels from the hundreds I've stayed in, I can't wait to get home and catch up on 3 nights missed sleep, and I couldn't...
