We had a pretty bad experience here, unfortunately. The beer I ordered and the eggplant rolls were out of stock. I proceeded to order (the more expensive) other beer (a czech Radegast) but got a Staropramen. Alright, nothing too bad, I guess. We ordered Khachapuri (cheese cake) for starters and Ojachuri and vegetarian Vareniky with mushroom and potatos and ordered sour cream to it (which costs extra). The vareniky even had a plant smybol (look at the pictures I posted). You cannot tell me that doesn't look like it's vegetarian lol. The Khachapuri never came and then to our surprise, the vareniky had loads of bacon over it. We told the waitress about our confusion and she apologized and told us to wait five minutes. The food then came back and they only removed the bacon bits. Although it still tasted completely of bacon fat we thought "at least, the food didn't get wasted" and proceeded to eat it. Needless to say we found around 6 bits of bacon still in the food which is an absolute no go if you ask me. Oh also, they forgot the sour cream so we had to ask for that again. Then chapter 2: we ordered 100 ml of white wine (on the menu is an option for a bottle of 750 ml or for a glass of 100 ml). We got around 200 ml and thought thats nice because its often a bit more than what is said in the menu. After our disappointing experience (the food we got was good apart from the problems) we went to pay at the bar. First the waitress even cashed up the Khachapuri that never came and we told her, that we didn't get that. She apologized and went on to cash up the rest which was around 4€ more than we ordered. I asked how she came up with that price and after some forth and back she admitted that she cashed up 2 glasses of wine (2 times 100 ml). I explained to her, that we never ordered 200 ml and she said "but you had 200 ml". If I wasn't so shocked, I probably would have laughed. You cannot just bring more food than someone ordered and then proceed to cash that up lol. I refused to pay the inflated amount and she at least gave in. All in all a pretty bad experience because it left us in a bad mood because the waitress even shamed us into feeling like we...
Read moreIt's my first time to post to review. This restaurant might be actually first one which I visited three days continuously in my life. I'll explain what made me so motivated to come here during all stay in Buratistolava. it's 1) atomosphere,2) new experience
First, considering the price, this restaurant's mood is much more than that. Good lighting, and relaxing music, which everything welcome me warmly.
1st day : I have to say Pelmere here this restaurant is perfect one to try first in your life. when I first tried, I was so surprised at the taste and couldn't think anything except that. I seriously hope the one exists in my country..! Every ingredients and texture is perfectly matched.
2nd day: I think Plov, the taste reminds me of the cuisine in southern india. A lot of spice were used but also made me imagine the grandma in ukraine cooking whom I've never met tho.
3rd day: I have to say Charco, this is the new type of soup for me, which uses a lot olive, made me drunk a little bit somehow, this matches vino rojo sure.
chacapuri po adzarsky, yes this is for sure bread with cheese.yes many many cheese not to mention a lot butter. For me, only this one, made me remind of my house habit, breakfast toast with many cheese. In my opinion, cheese with mixed cream and less salty is better. But for sure, when you first see, you'll be surprised the size and this cute looks.
And the lemonade here is very magical taste,)
At last, thank you for recommendation and good experience...
Read moreWas planning to check this spot out for quite some time and boy will I be coming back. The food! The spices! Very hearty and with a true homemade feel. The service is really nice and pleasant and leaves nothing left to be desired. The menu includes pictures for those of us that the textual description of the food does not improve our ability to choose 🤣 really it's a great help if you don't know all your Georgian/Ukrainian food options. The place is cozy - it's not cramped but I can only imagine with the quality they are serving we must have gotten lucky to get a table! Some things - like the dumplings (pirogi/vareniki) you can take home frozen! Yay! We tried the boršč and charčo soups and they absolutely rock!!, chačapuri, pelmene and vareniki as traditional staples of the two cuisines did nothing short of amaze either. Lots of good stuff still there on the menu to try, heehee...
Oh and support the heroes! Glory to Ukraine!...
