The hotel was good, but it feels a bit overpriced as I booked even better one for the same price in Vienna, which is a contrast city in terms of the price. Gentleman at the reception was friendly. Bear in mind that the hotel will charge additional city tax when you move in. The hotel itself was more less clean, but the room was not spotlessly cleaned to be honest. I had some hair on the soap dispenser and some threads in the bath. The bed was a bit small and short, furniture was slightly damaged. The door had old post soviet style of faux leather Ron top and I was wondering why… I woke up at the middle of the night from the screams of the children that were so loud in the corridor for some reason. The sound insulation is not good at all there sadly and the fabric door did not really help. The hotel has nice authentic lobby which reminds a Soviet porch with Persian carpets. I booked 1 month in advance for 26th of December and paid $76, which I think is overpriced, considered the quality and space of the room. If it was cheaper, I’d have given more starts for this review. It is ok for one night if you just come and fall asleep. Hotel needs renovation.

Review for room 208. Taking into account the price paid, this was a more than adequate hotel. Located in an old Slovakian building 15 minutes from the old city centre, our two roomed family room was very spacious. The decor could be described as quaint or rather old fashioned depending on your viewpoint, but the room was clean and adequately furnished with a large ensuite (shower only) As is often the case in Slovakia, the double beds were two twins pushed together with two single duvets, but they were comfortable. There was no wardrobe but a simple clothes rail with metal rack. There is no air conditioning, but the double glazed windows can be fully opened (no safety barriers here!) One negative was the noise outside late at night, but that is not the fault of the hotel. Closing the windows did block out much of the noise, but it did interrupt our sleep. We did not have much contact with the hotel staff, but the receptionist was polite and helpful. The new Nivy bus station with buses and coaches to numerous locations in Slovakia, Vienna and Budapest is a 10 minute walk away.

We decided for the Elisabeth Old Town hotel mainly for its location in the city center and also for the possibility of parking. All the main sights can be reached on foot from here. The historic building of the hotel offers clean, cozy and adequate accommodation considering the category of the hotel. The friendly staff is also willing to give advice about the possibilities in the city. It is true that the evening traffic of the street can sometimes be disturbing, but when silence reigns, one can sleep peacefully. It would be convenient if the windows could be closed completely, as the mobile air conditioner does not allow this at all. The breakfast selection will provide a sufficient opportunity to fully start the day, so there is nothing to complain about. Overall, we were satisfied with the services provided.

I couldn't fault the staff and ease of check in/out. All very pleasant saying hello or goodbye every time we passed. |I loved the location as it was less than 10 minutes walk to the old town. A minute walk to Blue Church and very close to some good restaurants and the Nivy bus station, a 15 minute walk. It's about half an hour walk from the train station.|( Bus 61 from airport to train station €1.20 each for a 30 minute ticket. Journey takes approx 20 minutes. Buy tickets from yellow ticket machine at bus stop and validate the ticket when you get on the bus) | We had some great daytrips on Flixbus to Vienna and Brno. |So very conveniently located|It was also good value for money. |We didn't eat breakfast in the hotel but you could pay around €11.60 each |They did have a fridge near reception with drinks and snacks. ||I was happy with the location of the room as it is described as an internal room. It was relativity quiet. No street noise. Maybe the odd noisy resident but they are on holiday. Not a problem at all. ||It does look like the hotel owners are slowly trying to modernise the place as the private bathroom / toilet was clean and the shower was adequate with plenty of hot water and modern flooring there was a hairdryer, soap and towels. ||ROOM 101 |The room had a TV with local tv channels. There was an option for Netflix which we came across by accident so if you have an account you might be able to watch Netflix. We didn't bother. | There was a kettle with cups, glasses and a couple of sachets of coffee./ green tea. A unit with hangers (not really a wardrobe) but it was OK and a chest of drawers in the hallway against a locked door. I do like a fridge which was clean and a bonus as I wasn't expecting the room to have a fridge. |The main bedroom itself seemed large enough until you tried to get into the double bed ( two singles pushed together) Old tired divans. || This room might be better as a twin room with two single beds against the wall, left side /radiator, the other, |with one bedside cabinet in the middle of the two beds with one lamp. This would give enough room to get in and out of each bed more comfortably. ||The absolute worst thing was the carpet! It is old and filthy with threads exposed. It needs ripping up and nice flooring laid, similar to that in the bathroom would be lovely. |It was filthy behind the fridge, the edges under the radiator and worst of all was under the bed! I've never seen so much dust/ filth in a hotel room before. Maybe because there just isn't enough room down the right hand side of the bed to clean properly! It's inaccessible! ||The pillows and quilts were also stained but I only saw this when I took the covers off just to help the cleaners before we checked out.||I know they say you get what you pay for but I've slept in cleaner youth hostels||I have still given it 4 stars because of all the other good points. Staff /location. ||The carpets can be replaced or at least deep cleaned.. ||Don't let this put you off coming to this lovely hotel. Hopefully they can sort these issue out before you arrive. ||Overall we had a great time in Bratislava Elisabeth Hotel is a very good...
