Penzión Hradbová — Hotel in Košice

I really wanted to give this place 5* and it really isn't that far off. There were just a few little things that left a bitter taste and as we left. For starters not all rooms are created equal, the first room that was given to us was a very small dark room on the last floor with only one skylight and is a window, thankfully they agreed to trade our room for one on the main floor with huge window into the room was at least double the size of the previous one it is just odd that all rooms cost the same but can be so drastically different. Also this place advertisers air conditioning but not all rooms have it, for instance the one we ended up staying and didn't have a c which was fine since it wasn't that warm out, the problem is that it gave onto a courtyard and people were hanging out there speaking loudly and smoking until late at night. Breakfast is very average but for such a small place it's acceptable. The spa is nice and location great. Personnel was alright, not bad, not great. We were surprised that checkout was as early as 10 a.m. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would consider staying here again, this feedback is for the hotel to improve on so that they will...

We were very happy with our choice of this guesthouse. The location is excellent: all the main sights of the old town are just a few minutes’ walk away. The property was spotlessly clean, and the staff were kind and attentive throughout our stay. Our room was very spacious. We appreciated the abundance of power outlets and the bedside reading light, which provided proper illumination (something that’s surprisingly rare). Breakfast was tasty and generous.

If we had to mention any downsides, one would be the lack of storage space in the bathroom (even though it is big enough). Also, we couldn’t find any Hungarian, English or German-language channels on the TV (though to be fair, we might not have used the right settings). A clearer guide for accessing channels might be helpful.

Overall, we had a truly enjoyable experience, and we would gladly recommend this accommodation to others. We’ll definitely stay here again on our next visit to...
