Not ‘eco’: the predicate ‘eco’ that the camping proudly promotes itself with is a shear overstatement. An more fitting name would be ‘primitive’. Although the hardly accessible electricity is powered by two solar panels, they stoke water on wood and have a campfire burning all day long. Wood consists of 99% Carbon, anything they ‘save’ with their solar panel and lack of warm water, they pump in the air again with all those wood fires. Bonus: You camp in the smog of those fires. This accounts as a perfect example of ‘greenwashing’: this camping is not ‘eco’, it rather ‘feels’ eco in appearance but I’d rather term it primitive.
Not enough facilities: the camping says to have place for 100 people. However, the sanitary only consists of five often clogged toilets, three sinks for dishes with only cold water, five sinks for washing and three working showers. Hence: for fulfilling any basic need like getting water or going to the toilet you have to stand in a queue for easily 10 minutes. For the people traveling with their camper home: come prepared, you cannot charge your batteries nor empty your chemical toilets nor refill your water tank. If you want to charge your phone, you can only do so when the sun is shining and you have to be on top of it, because there are only 10 sockets.
Overpriced and overcrowded: this camping is very expensive relative to what you get for the price. Every person pays 18 euros per night, regardless of whether you have a small tent or big camper. For two people this results in paying 36 euros per night to stand on a very crowded and noisy tent field. For camper home it is thus cheap, for tents it is very expensive. We stayed for for nights, which was too long, staying one night works fine with this camping. As said before, it is extremely busy on the camping, way to busy: they have less space than then say they do. If you want to go, do not go in high season. (Ps: you can only pay with cash!)
Atmosphere: the camping has done a good job at creating a nice communal area with two very simple kitchens and some tables. It is cosy and friendly there. But, also here it is tremendously overcrowded: the tables and kitchens are constantly in use, so you have to stand in line again. The whole camping is dark, there is no lighting, no electricity, bins are constantly full.
Surrounding area: The small city (Kransjka Gora) nearby is very nice and through the Vrsic pass you have easy acces to beautifull mountains. You can rent any mountain gear, bike, whatsoever in Kransjka Gora.
Lastly: we’ve shared our ideas about the camping with it’s staff (and we did so in a friendly manner). However, they responded in a very dismissive manner. As if we were the only ones haven’t these complaints. They told us to email the owner if we wanted to share any thoughts on the camping. Luckily, after reading reviews here we now know we are not the only ones with...

First review: Find your place! Keep it simple 👌🏾🙏🏽 Loved that camp ❤️ I will come again. The owner is very friendly 🙏🏽
Update➡️ *a few weeks later after our exploration in Bosnia-Herzegovina we decided to stop again at a place we loved. It is august 2018, highseason and weekend. When arriving in the early afternoon at the camp we could not choose our place anymore. We had to stay in the middle of the camp. When other tourists checked in everybody had to pitch very close next to each other. (As like half a meter) It had a festivalfeeling. Also the capacity of the showers and toilets could not bare such a big crowd. So I guess that the name ‘eco-camp’ stands for economic-camp in the owner his wallet 😅 No I dont want to be disrespectfull but for the price people pay we dont want to be on a festivalcampside. Decide your capacity. In the morning there was even no water anymore left to brush your teeth or flush...
Read moreDespite the quietness compared to other campsites in high season and the beautiful nature and city of Kranjska Gora, we were a little disappointed. ||||We came here after a busy camping and were immediately pleased with our spot and the peaceful surroundings. But the welcome as well as any other contact with the owner were missing, even a little eyecontact or smile. We tried twice to approach for check in and a chat, but without success. He told us to come back later, but he was often gone from the camp. On the last day we finally got a hold of him to check out. He seemed unaware and uninterested. ||||Also, due to a big glamping group and a full camping the sanitary was not sufficient and not clean in the mornings. ||||Overall we had a nice stay, but we were disappointed as the reviews were so good. We could see the potential, but some personal effort of the host...
