Extremely dissatisfied and disappointed. Service is sub par. Food is pathetic especially that they are demanding more than average for a basic beefs stew buffet style dinner. I ate at a few restaurants a few metres away from this place with a far better offering for half the price.

The patrons are this place leave lots to be desired. Either from the hotel allowing them to party just on the entrance of the Hotel(drinking hotels on the stoep of the hotel, and not at the adjoining business but literally next to the entrance) the patron have zero consideration for anyone as normal nights end up being noisy until 2am with activities ranging from loud raucous conversations in the corridor to TV being played at mac volume or patron playing drums on their counter while singing passed midnight.

Zero information in the rooms in terms of what is on offer in the hotel or nearby establishments.

Water is like a lottery. Some days you get it. Some days you don't. They don't have room service or any other value add services.

The towels which are grey don't smell clean or hotel like. And the was a nice brown smear on my hand towel of someone who wiped their posterior and the towel was clearly not washed properly.

The car washer people make noise up until very late hour in the morning, across the hotel.

The area leaves a lot to be desired and would not recommend walking here after hours.

If I could I would give the place negative stars I would.

Please please please don't waste you money. Steer very clearly of this place which is going to close soon...

This hotel has almost nothing to recommend it, except for the fading charm of its past glory. Sincs that is no small thing, it deserves better than the single star I might otherwise have given it. Built (according to one of the staff) in 1949, and typical of the construction of that time, it has glorious ocean views, and the remnants of its original decor, such as charming wood panelling, now battered and ageing, and original bathroom fixtures (except where they have been replaced with cheap and ugly modern alternatives. Unfortunately there have been many changes, almost all of them out of sympathy with the original building, and in general the entire place speaks of being uncared for and neglected. The neglect comes through in unpleasant forms - for example, windows with seals that are thoroughly perished, making them impossible to close fully, and resulting in the chilly sea breeze gaining ready entrance, to my room at least. There was no functioning heating to offset this. Finding a working power outlet for my cellphone was a further challenge. ||There were some plusses, such as plentiful hot water and a surpsisingly good breakfast. No doubt when the local economy recovers the place will be given an imaginative overhaul, but until then it's hard...

Good day Management

23 October 2024 - 25 October 2024

This is the first time ever I had to send an email to a venue for such poor and unsatisfactory service! We chose the venue to host our Clients for a conference because of what we had seen on your website and your advertised 4-star rating.

Unfortunately, our Clients and ourselves walked away bitterly disappointed by the accommodation and the venue.

The following were just some of the negative comments and feedback received by those who attended: Your rooms are not even close to the pictures that is posted online on your website. The room doors could not be unlocked and then the staff disappear because the rooms could then not lock! This created a safety and security risk for our employees. Staff are unprofessional and noisy with no respect for silence request when conference in progress. No words can describe the unprofessional way you display the food what to say about the quality! We had people finding and chewing on eggshells for breakfast.

This has been the worst experience we have ever had, and I cannot believe that you actually charge R1 290.00 per person for such poor service and for a place that is not up to standard at all but advertised...

I don't understand why this hotel is only rated at 3 stars. The rooms are modern, no loadshedding. The bedding is comfortable and clean. The view is spectacular. There is wifi and Dstv. The lighting is beautiful. There is a safe in the cupboard with hangers. There is a Kettle and a lounge area in your room. The water pressure is great and the shower is massive. There is complimentary soap, shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper and a shower cap. There is also complimentary coffee and tea. I have stayed here numerous times and I love it. I highly recommend this hotel. Keep in mind that the price is high... Ranging from R1400 per night - out of season. Also be careful when leaving the hotel because it's a very dangerous area and there is constant loud music playing and people partying outside the hotel, every day of the week. For that reason I have removed a star from the location... But the amazing sea view makes up for it.

Cozy place and good location. The hotel is by no means new, in fact I would hazard a guess and call it very old fashioned, but very clean and well maintained and I found everything to be in good working order. Strange setup with dinner, you have to go to a restaurant and provide your room number and then you're allowed to dine there. The hotel provides transport to the venue for those who dont have their own. A good experience with staff, all very friendly and helpful.

The Check in process took more than an hour, we had to go back and forth sorting out our rooms... It was either the bedding was dirty, the beds where not what we had requested, for an accommodation facing the sea view the service is a complete let down
