In these difficult times, going on a road trip was not an easy decision, but it was a necessary one for us just to slow down and reconnect as a family. After a 8hr trip all you hope for is that your accommodation is clean with warm water :-) Margate GH has that and much more.||||We would like to take this opportunity to thank Johan, Gabby, Katie & Princess @ Margate GH for making this part of our EC trip so comfortable and homey. ||We were received @ 8pm on a Sunday eve as you would friends or family members. Johan and Gabby are warm & inviting and very thorough. Our rooms were like stepping into a home away from home. The kitchens’ fitted with all the practical requirements for a short or longer stay.||As I still had to work on our first day, my breakfast was brought to the room. It was warm and delicious. The staff we met, Katie & Princess are friendly and efficient.||||We booked a game drive in Addo and needed to leave before 7am and thus a packed lunch was offered…wow were we bowled over by this. From the endearing messages attached to each pack to the well thought through content….Yummy with a double thumbs up.||||The location is perfect, a stones throw away from the beach, restaurants and shops. The area is safe and sirene and all amenities provided for is as advertised. ||||Johan, Gabby we cannot fault you in what you are doing. Keep it up. You guys are super stars. Summerstrand - a beautiful and tranquil location in Port Elizabeth, close to Hobie Beach and Humewood, many shopping centres and even the Boardwalk Casino. Very well maintained buildings and clean and comfortable accomodation units, wi-fi and an absolutely gorgeous swimming pool. But what set it apart for our family was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff - Trevor, Katie and Princess and the rest of their team will accomodate your every request!! Melinda was just SUCH a SUPERB hostess - she enquired about our progress on route to Port Elizabeth, she even provided us with a camping cot and bedding for our baby. She suggested activities and locations that we could visit daily, and was exceptionally warm and caring overall. I'd heartily recommend "Margate Place" to anyone visiting...

I had a wonderful stay at Margate Place Guest House. From the moment I arrived, the hosts Gabi and Stephan were welcoming and friendly, which immediately made me feel at home. The staff, especially Princess and Katie, were fantastic – always cheerful, attentive, and ensuring the rooms were spotless and well-kept throughout my stay.

The rooms themselves were very comfortable and well equipped with everything I needed. The location couldn’t have been more perfect – close to everything, yet still peaceful and relaxing.
