My experience living at Blackbrick has been nothing short of horrible. If I could give it ZERO stars I would.

There is a general lack of regard for their tenants. I have had multiple issues with my bathroom door which jammed. I have had an issue with my closet railing which broke and finally I have had an issue with my closet, the door of which has completely fallen off.

I have tried on multiple occasions, starting from last year October to now to get this door fixed. I have received no assistance whatsoever especially from the building manager, in fact I had to have a friend come and fix my bathroom door, which thankfully due to HIM and him ALONE it now works however he was unable to fix my closet door.

The situation is dangerous and there is a possibility of either my furniture breaking from it falling or me getting seriously injured - should the latter happen, there will be a summons served on prestigious hotel/apartment building.

The smell of the floor of which I live on is absolutely repulsive and repugnant. On a regular basis I see cockroaches roaming the corridors of Blackbrick and on special occasions you get to share your apartment with them.

There are issues with water constantly, the craftsmanship of their wardrobes, doors, toilet seats and alike is shoddy and cheap at best, ESPECIALLY for the price we pay for rent.

Do yourself a favour, if you are considering either buying or renting an apartment at Blackbrick, I would humbly request you think twice before you waste your hard earned money. I intended on moving out as SOON as my lease is up.

Oh and by the way, no one is here to help you. All those lovely staff members you see are NOT here for you, but only for hotel guests. Those of us who live in the apartments are not so much as worthy of their services ESPECIALLY maintenance.

Do with this information what you will but you have been duly warned.

I’m sure the service at the hotel is...

My stay was very pleasant up till the last morning. I had to go fetch my friend at reception because they didnt want to let him in. Small things, inconsistencies if you may, that can ruin your whole day.

Couple of thing to note:

The building is very new so construction is ongoing. Noise levels is high.

The wifi ain't what the reviews display sadly. I had alot of hanging.

I had to Put my own netflix

Breakfast wasnt available cause of a function.

No "do not desturb sign"

Confusion between black brick 1 and 2 is very real! Every Uber driver got it wrong.

The staff was amazing! Very accommodating.

I could extend my stay daity without changing rooms.

Perfect rooms equipped with everything one might need. Nice big shower.

Plug points next to bedside.

Access control tags never glitch.

Very tech orientated. Book in and out via email. Also chat with hotel on watsapp.

Luggage storage available! Absolutely Loved...

An absolute shocking experience, we had no water for three days, we arrived from Cape Town for a work function and weren’t able to shower at all for 3 whole days.

They eventually used there heads and moved us across to black brick Sandton 1 and promised to take our bags across because we were arriving late that evening, to our surprise when we arrived our bags weren’t there.

The level of service and care was disgusting. Not to mention the excessive noise and music being played until early hours of the morning every night!

When we asked for a refund they said we will still be charged for the time spent at the hotel, which is ridiculous since we couldn’t sleep due to the noise levels and couldn’t shower due to no water? So when we asked what are we being charged for the answer was met with silence, probably the only bit of peace and quiet we had the whole time in the...

Horrible experience these people are giving scammers I stayed there at an apartment unit first of all the gave me a room I didn’t book cause they said the one I paid for the someone had extended their stay . The put me in a different unit and moved me to another one after 3 days, horrible! So I moved out after a month and now the manager hasn’t paid my deposit I’ve been calling him he doesn’t even say a word and the owner of the unit has paid back my deposit into his account. His name is Terence very unprofessional staff they have at Blackbrick .

It is a very new and convenient hotel. The staff is friendly. The rooms are modern and comfortable. The complex is large. There is rooftop terrace on the second floor to two sides and where the bar and restaurant area is, behind there is a little pool. The walls to the other rooms seem not be the thickest. Yet for most of the night and morning it was calm. The hotel is in a short walking distance of 6-7 minutes to both Nelson Mandela square and the Sandton City mall. The Gautrain station can be reached in about 15min walking.
