Aircon’s not working Maintenance guy didn’t have the app and I needed to provide him with tissues while we waited for his app to download to figure out what was going on No extra blanket request several times and nothing came all we hear is loud music when we call housekeeping lots of promises still nothing Requested extra bed in the morning, still nothing in the evening more of the same from housekeeping Bed came hit my wife with the steel base on her head Kitchen dishes from the previous night not cleaned Foul plumbing smells from the shower Sliding door in the second bedroom doesn’t slide Dstv unable to figure it out but maintenance were quick to sort it out after 2 phone calls Breakfast

Didn’t notify that the second veg pan was not working but notified my wife Took ages for my wife’s omelette after 20 mins it came and were then promised a better experience the next day requested 9:30 booked table Arrive on day 2, no table in site says we booked for 9am and rolls her eyes at us Puts a table together after 10 mins service was slow but manageable Day 3 service was slow but not ridiculous as we had lowered our expectations significantly Day 4 expected nothing however 30 mins for cold avo on bread incorrect orders for a very basic request and lots of excuses from the chef Housekeeping 0/10 Breakfast -10/10 Location 10/10 Room 7/10 Value for money 5/10
Met with management for 45 minutes who promised to make right the issue but all I did was waste my time as they offered me to come back at a preferential rate for more abuse by their team which I declined. Once again they talk the talk but are unable to deliver.
At no point did we expect service or feedback in 5 minutes we waited the appropriate time and longer for the service.

Read moreI went down to use the gym facilities. The steam room in the bathroom was off so I asked 2 use it. Receptionist switched it on. Upon enterin it, it smelled repugnant so I asked a therapist 2 please apply a few drops of eucalyptus, but she rudely refused saying there wasn't & stormed off. The door does not close which meant the steam room would obviously not be able 2 heat up so i told another therapist about it but she too was rude & unhelpful. So I set in it & manually put something against the door to keep it closed. It did not warm up so i stepped out & looked at the walk unit which said that automatically switched off as there's a fault with it. I reported it to the receptionist who directed me to use the steam room in the relaxation area instead. It was 3pm & there were 3 foreign African day users in there who I befriended & sat chatting to until 4.15pm when they left, at which time I got into the steam rasul. @ 4.30pm the therapists came in, opened the door to steam rasul, looked at me & left. 2 minutes later, Nelly reopened the door, except this time she opened it all the way letting out all the steam completely exposing my naked body & letting in the cold air onto my wet body. Sh along with the short fat therapist very aggressively & rudely commanded me to get out stating I could not use it. I was COMPLETELY violated as I'm a modest Muslim woman who is completely covered. When she closed the door, I stepped up to exit but they now had removed my bathroom that was on the outside of the steam & had my personal belongings in it, & left only hand towel there which I had 2 use 2 conceal my private part with & exit the relaxation area in trying to locate them to retrieve my gown! It was utterly humiliating. They said they did not know anyone was in the steam, which was a blatant lie as all 3 had come in only 5 minutes prior & clearly seen me by opening the steam door ENTIRELY & exposing me to intimidate, harass & bully me. Read moreVery disappointed after our stay at The DaVinci Hotel. I was thoroughly looking forward to this stay as I have not stayed in this hotel before and it had been on my list, check in took quite long, which didn't bother me initially but ended up being a compounding factor after everything else, we had booked online and it took close to an hour for us to get checked in and given our room key, we used this time to look around.When we finally got to our room, we quickly left everything and went to the mall then had dinner, we got back relatively late and only upon getting back did we notice the bed was 2 single beds pushed together, however we booked and paid for a delux king room, needless to say I spent the duration of the evening falling through the 2 beds as I was trying to cuddle my lady, so I didn't get much sleep to say the least. When we got up in the morning I quite badly needed a coffee to wake me up after the night I had and Lo and behold, the coffee machine was not working! By this point you can imagine the frustration.. so we got dressed and went down for breakfast, the process of simply getting a coffee took close to 40 minutes, let alone the food arriving! We actually ended up getting up and leaving because we had plans for the day and did not expect to wait over an hour for our breakfast to arrive! The cold food that was available at the buffet was very dry as well but we scoffed it down and went on our way, it was only while we were walking out that the juice we ordered when we arrived was beginning to make its way to our table, so we were given the bottle and we went on our wayWe mentioned the incorrect room as well as the coffee machine to the lady at the checkout desk, to which I was reassured that next time we stay it will be niceI can very confidently confirm that there will not be a next time from us, as we do expect a certain service when checking into a 5 star hotel and paying the price that comes along with itOn a positive note, the concierge was helpful with taking our luggage to the roomSuch a pity for a lovely perfectly located place to put such little effort into the quality...
