Warm Hospitality and Team Effort at Hampton by Hilton Johannesburg – Great Stay in Sandton
I stayed at Hampton by Hilton Johannesburg in March and April this year, and I left with a genuinely positive impression, thanks to the exceptional service, personal touches, and convenient location.
A special mention to Emmanuel and Suhayl, the front desk manager, who truly went above and beyond. Suhayl, in particular, was incredibly thoughtful and attentive throughout my stay. Since my visit coincided with Ramadan, I had been skipping breakfast—but to my surprise and appreciation, Suhayl personally arranged for a fruit platter to be sent to my room to break my fast. That gesture was not only considerate, but also truly reflective of the warm hospitality I experienced at the hotel.
Another standout aspect was the team spirit during busy breakfast hours. I noticed managers from different departments actively helping out—clearing tables, restocking, and engaging with guests to make sure everyone was well taken care of. That level of involvement really showed how committed the team is to delivering a great guest experience.
The location is also a major plus—situated right in Sandton, it’s close to Nelson Mandela Square, as well as a range of great restaurants and shopping centres, making it easy to explore the best of Johannesburg.
While the rooms are a bit smaller than other Hilton properties globally, they are clean, modern, and efficiently designed. The overall service and atmosphere more than make up for it.
In short, Hampton by Hilton Johannesburg – Sandton offers not just comfort and convenience, but also heartfelt service that makes you feel genuinely welcomed. I would absolutely return and highly recommend...

Dear Hotel Management
I am extremely disappointed with my recent stay at Hampton South Africa. Not only was I not provided bottled water after the first night, but the full bottle that was in my room was also removed without replacement. This is unacceptable, especially considering I paid the same rate for each night of my stay. If the tap water were safe to drink, I would have used it, but that was not an option.
I have stayed at other Hampton hotels internationally, which is why I chose this one, but this experience has been deeply disappointing. Out of principle, I will not be staying here again and will be choosing an alternative hotel in the future. I will also be sharing my experience with others to ensure they are aware of the lack of basic hospitality.

Not so positive Staff aren't so polite or helpful No amenities other than gym Do not even provide water bottle in the room every day.
