Marion Lodge — Hotel in Gauteng

I booked Marion Lodge in Sandton expecting the standards of a four-star, exclusive bed and breakfast as advertised. Unfortunately, my experience was one of complete dismay.

On arrival, we found: • Stained pillowcases and poor-quality linen. • A dirty, stained carpet in the bedroom. • A shower with no working light. • Mismatched floor tiling and a bathroom mirror held together with electrical tape. • The shared lounge and dining areas were used for a noisy party, making it impossible to relax in nearby rooms.

Although the staff were polite and helpful, the overall décor, cleanliness, and upkeep fell far short of what one would expect from a property claiming four stars. In my opinion, the advertised rating and glowing online endorsements are misleading.

This is not an establishment I would recommend, and I strongly believe that the accreditation and promotional claims should...

The first contact we had with the place was a little hostile, the security guards was rude. However once we got inside the owner greeted us with a warm smile.

Checking info was as easy as could be.

The room which we booked was the family room , first impressions was good.

Nice big bed, with a nice firm mattress. Bathroom was nice and clean. It had a shower and bath fitting both preferences.

Up keep was a little lacking though, the soap holder in the shower just dropped out of the wall.

There were globe's missing from the light fittings In the bedroom .

Breakfast was included and our order was taken the day before at cheek in.

The food was well prepared although the portions were a little tiny when it came to the meat.

I was given only 1 small slightly over cooked beef sausage.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Would I go...

MY STAY WAS BAD...FALSE ADVERTISEMENT..MY BOOKING INCLUDED BREAKFAST, ON MY ARRIVAL WAS TOLD BREAKFAST IS NOT INCLUDED.SHOWED THE GUY MY CONFIRMATION EMAIL , AND THE GUY SAID ITS BETTER HE CANCELS THE BOOKING..HE SAID THEY ARE LOOSING A LOT OF MONEY WITH AGODA AS THE PUT THE PRICES TO LOW,,IF THATS THE CASE"WHY MARION LODGE IS STILL WITH AGODA?.....MARION LODGE IS RUNNED BY UNPROFESSIONAL PEOPLE, WHO DOESNT CARE ABOUT THEIR CLIENTS...DISSAPOINTED FOR DAYS...EVEN TILL TODAY THEIR ADS WITH AGODA INCLUDES BREAKFAST.NEVER COMING THERE AGAIN AND WLL NEVER RECOMMEND TO ANY ONE RATHER I WILL MAKE PPL AWARE THAT MARION LODGE DOES FALSE...
