Garden Court Morningside Sandton — Hotel in Gauteng

I'm so disappointed as a regular user & member of Southern Sun. Worse that I convinced my in laws not to go to Durban to celebrate our Mother's 80th b.day they better come to Morningside. On request of facecloths were given old used 1s, It was 1st time I felt so undermined by Southern Sun. I must say the manager by the name of Themba handled it so well even made my Mom in love's b.day so memorable. These are kind of managers every industry need. Then again on Monday my family was turned away from breakfast 🌝 I had to run to the restaurant to now understand the actual capacity of their restaurant vs in house guests? I was told that they all have a team of about 30-40 ppl frm outside who booked a buffet breakfast, I asked what about us? some chicky lady & a guy said our group can sit outside meaning we come take food & go sit in the cold by the pool. I lost it & put on a show that's when we got to have chairs in different tables though we were 9 in number & the hotel management was aware that we are a fam. I then asked if the breakfast duration will be extended as they wasted our whole 35 min & it was already after 9 they said yes. Hahahaha guess what we were then served crumbs & burnt bacon...to say I'm disappointed it is understatement. That lady manager has real bad attitude she wasnt even remorseful. I'll stick to Capetown, Bloem & Durban though I'm a Gautenger. I even wonder if you guys give white guests such stinking service as you are so comfy with...

Conveniently located in the popular sandton area. Safe and peaceful with parking. Big plus is they have a generator for load shedding. Very friendly staff. Very efficient. Rooms were clean, neat and tidy with tea and coffee provided. Shower was also clean with excellen water pressure. Nice big aircon unit and hotel dstv boquet also.2 things they can improve on, firstly no fridge in the room nor is there complimentary water provided. Secondly you are forced to use the Tulsa Spur on the same property only for your dinner. This becomes problematic if you are on an extended stay or if you are vegetarian/vegan/halal. They should rather give you an option to eat out/order in and reimburse you upon provision of receipts. After always using city lodge just down the road from you, I booked with you but had such a bad experience. Monday Morning my daughters 7 yrs old and I went for breakfast. At the entrance I said good morning, my surname and room number, just then Maria asked me if we 3 had pj's on. I Said no it's a tshirt from truworths ginger Mary well know brand and slacks and for the kids plain shorts and tshirts. She tells me it's policy no pjs and I'm telling her it's not pj's. There were many others seated with shorts and tshirts evens strap vest so why did we have to become a issue Infront of every one. I'm more than happy to post a pic of the cloths.
