Curry & All — Restaurant in Gauteng

There's flies buzzing in the kitchen and when it sat on my food the lady made it seem likeninwas lying despite her cashier seeing it and chasing it away. When i showed her the flies in the kitchen...she said theres flies everywhere...food is tasty but cleanliness is a problem...flies were sitting on the soji cream and sour milk. Left my food behind as it seems like theres a poor attitude to hygiene in the kitchen ..the dining area is clean but the kitchen and prep area is fly infested...a definite no from me...rather eat at dannys or cyber curries

Below is the response from the outlet to my post...instead of resolving the fly issue and providing mitigation, an arrogant response is sent...consumers have a right to clean food...just attend to the fly issue...not everyone that raises a complaint wants a freebie...some of us are serious about cleanliness and health...not sure how u think this could've been resolved amicably in store...maybe a buy my silence with free food??? Did you even attend tonthenfly issue after i left...think before you respond...with all the diseases going around i expected a more responsible reply...please dont message me again as you are further damaging your brand with irresponsible replies...im in the food industry as well and my exco just laughed at management response to the query. I did say the food is tasty and i maintain that...

HI there you wrote such a t)ad review about my shop. First of all the bunny you order and you said that your son is coming now. Second,we don't serve Maas salad and the cream is covered with a plastic packets. Don't write such a bad review. We worked very hard to get the business to were it is. You can walk into any of our stores and check the serving area. Don't assume things. We are the only curry shop that is running consistently for the last 16 years. Three months ago I bought a lamb bunny from this restaurant ( Curry and All, based opp the Morningside Mediclinic). I got food poisoning and had severe diarrhoea for 3 days! It was a horrendous experience to say the least. Yeaterday ( 7 June 2025), I had the misfortune of eating a lamb bunny bought by a friend of mine from the same restaurant (Curry and All). I am sitting on the toilet right now (Sunday night, 8th June) with severe food poisoning and non stop diarrhoea. I haven’t eaten a thing today because I can’t keep anything down, not even water. And except to go the toilet, I haven’t been out of bed. I am praying this goes away before work tomorrow but based on my first experience I think that’s being optimistic!

I would NEVER recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for Indian food. NEVER!!! I am actually going to escalate this matter and have its premises and food randomly inspected by the relevant authorities. When we go to a restaurant or order from it with our hard earned money, we do NOT expect to become violently sick after eating their food. But this is exactly what has happened to me on the two occasions that I did eat from Curry and All. I don’t want anyone else to go through what I did, hence this review.

I hope their management takes this seriously or shuts down, because frankly they are giving the Indian food...

Used to be good real home Durban chows but ordered veg briyani was stodgy too thick and taste was just average not great. Beans curry..how do you mess this up? Totally forgetable bland. The thinnest samoosas hardly any mince. Dhall was good. Think they serving other race's & cultures so Durban Indian quality food slipping. Owners are no longer hands on not there anymore. Chicken curry no longer with bones so not catering to Indians anymore - at least offer 2 version one for non Indians. Soji just too stodgy sticks on mouth. Since they upgraded can afford a fancier location the food is soo bland. Stds are slipping for profit ..not the same awesome curry & all that it was back in the day when they were a killer dingy shop next to a garage....pity. Another one...
