Lacuna Bistro & Bar — Restaurant in Gauteng

I went there with my sisters today and received bad service. I first ordered a beef lasagna but I was told it’s out of stock, I then opted to order a pork tomahawk but I was served a different pork cut that was said to be a tomahawk but looked like a loin chop. When I queried the meal, I was asked if I knew what a pork tomahawk even looks like and that the tomahawk bone was hidden in the meat. When I refused to eat the meal and wanted to opt for another meal, I was told by by Phindile and Bongani who were apparently the managers on shift that they can’t allow me to order another meal as I might be unhappy with the alternative. The managers then went on to tell me that I was wrong as a customer for refusing to accept the meal and wanting to order another meal. What a terrible time! After our spa appointment we wanted something sweet with a coffee... We ordered dessert, I ordered the chocolate and orange but was so disappointed when the wrong dessert came and did not match the description on the menu, our waiter said he knew nothing about tye menu and would call the chef in charge... the"chef"in charge told us..my dessert was wrongly sent out. When we enquired about my friends desert description on the menu, she just said"they wrote wrong", and showed us the picture she had in the kitchen ofhow the plate should look, we got a completely frozen mousse as a new dessert with a very stale macaron filled with lemon icing(full of lemon essence flavouring... Then the bill.... Waited 40 minutes for the bill to come and the it was wrong! Not acceptable for such an establishment!!! Not even the fantastic coffee could mke up f9r the...

My husband and I had come for a late lunch at the bar and got the worst service ever from a gentleman called Peterson. The man was rude and displayed no sense of customer service at all. This totally ruined our afternoon after the excitement to return since enjoying a wonderful afternoon a week prior of being attended to by Langanani - she’s professional and courteous. I overheard Peterson openly complaining to his colleagues that we requested the cancellation of our order because they were out of beef burgers. Rushing the kitchen to prepare the alternative meals just so that you could deny the cancellation and serving it subpar is the perfect way to lose customers and gain dissatisfaction with the establishment. To Peterson: listen to patrons, have respect for patrons. Sadly, I don’t think I will ever return to Lacuna Bar because of...
