We booked a nights stay for my husband's birthday a while back and it was okay.
It was convenient to book online. Received all notifications via email. However, only after an email enquiry did they inform us that their spa was closed due to renovations. Which was our whole reason for the stay. Nonetheless, we managed to find availability at a different spa.
We arrived shortly before midday (being late on our end) we struggled to gained access to the premises, no one was available to buzz the door open for us, so we tried phoning the number provided on their email with no answer. Tried to phone the number on their Google page, only to be greeted by the typical "the number you have dialed does not exist." After about 20 minutes of waiting and phoning to gain access, we were greeted and allowed access. Once in reception, we had to wait a further 40 minutes as our room was still being "cleaned".
While waiting, we saw other guests check out of the room that we had booked, so they really had to spark to get the room turned over in record time. It was not a pleasant feeling knowing someone else was just in the same room, a few minutes before you. Once all was done, we finally received our room key, and our bags were carried in for us. The room was gorgeous, clean, and fully stocked. The bathroom was just as spectacular with a decently sized tub, a toilet with a double sink and all on heated tiles, and a double walk-in shower behind the sink. It was quite the experience.
Once settled in our room, we noticed the jacuzzi was full of luke-warm water, thinking it was ready for us, we removed the cover only to find that it was dirty, used water. We proceeded to empty the jacuzzi so that we could refill it with clean water and finally relax. However, we found some things floating in the water at the bottom, so we requested someone to come and clean it. Which they did a fantastic job of disinfecting.
Throughout the whole process, the staff was really friendly and professional. They also apologised for any inconvenience after cleaning the jacuzzi.
At 14:30, my husband watched a few YouTube videos and got the hot tub working by 15:00. We lazed in the sun on the balcony the rest of the afternoon, which was so relaxing, and really enjoyed our time in the jacuzzi.
There was also no wifi available as it was not working according to the receptionist. We were greeted with loadshedding at 18:00 and proceeded to order some food from a local place down the road, which was convenient and tasty. We also ordered drinks from the bar and didn't receive the correct order, but that was okay as we ended up ordering more anyway. The rest of the evening was pleasant and comfortably enjoyed from the king-sized bed.
We were somewhat dissatisfied with our stay, but made the best of...

Read moreOverall it is a nice place, but don’t expect an hotel. There were no porters to assist us with luggage. There is no designated parking space, so we ended up driving around quite a bit before they told us that their “parking area” is the loading bay.
The room was quite disappointing and outdated. They only have DSTV, and no streaming apps/channels, in case you wanted to chill and catch up on your series.
We were hit with unexpected load shedding, there were no extra lights in the room (although their instructions say there is in the event of load shedding)and the staff did not do the due diligence to inform us or make sure that we are good. We had to make use of our phone flash lights.
For those wanting to book the suite on the top floor, bear in mind that there is no elevator , but rather quite a steep staircase.
They claim to have room service, but no way of contacting the “reception”. We had to physically walk down to ask for whatever we wanted.
Housekeeping comes around at 12pm to 13:00 - which is quite late, and they do the bare minimum.
The bathroom is quite nice.
For the price, I don’t think our stay was worth it. I felt very disappointed. I was expecting an hotel experience, sadly that was not the case - it felt...
