Impala Holiday Flats Self Catering — Hotel in South Beach

A good place when you're on holiday on a budget. For a weekend getaway with the family we paid a lot less than what we would have paid in the more upmarket places. Very close to the beach and walking distance to uShaka Marine. Its fairly easy to travel from when your trying to get to popular land mark sites like the Moses Mabhida stadium etc.

The actual flat itself was ok, again relative to what I paid I cant complain much. The old adage you get what you pay for applies here. Staff where helpful and made my stay comfortable. My concern with the place is its location. They unfortunately cannot do anything about it but its very dodgy and saw one or two unsavory activities taking place. Left the flat never having seen a single roach. There were a couple of things regards maintenance that could be improved purely by getting someone to supervise after the cleaning staff. It would seem though that they are in the process of renovating the place so I will hold further comment until thats complete and let the images attached speak for themselves...On the whole a...

I went with 5 of my friends, 4 of us had beds in 2 bedrooms, the other two had their "beds" in the lounge which were also meant to be used as couches. We were never given a heads up about the matter so it was pretty uncomfortable especially because they couldn't have their privacy protected. The sheets had stains on them so it was pretty disgusting. The place had cockroaches and most of the kitchen utensils were not enough for the 6 of us so they clearly didn't plan for our stay properly. And then the lift would stop working on certain days and we'd have to take the stairs to the 10th floor. It's close to the beach and meter taxis so that's a great thing, so if you want cheap accommodation go for impala but also await the low service that...

The place needs serious renovations, I understand its reasonable in price but still. Taps make squeeky noise, our bathroom sink tap for hot water wasnt working, toilet had black dirt line around inside very disturbing to see that everytime you use the toilet, water took forever to come out the bath after bathing, that was very frustrating as we were a group wanted to bath one after the other....TV wasnt working properly very teary ended up not watching it at all...in the kitchen no salad bowl for making salad... and most of all i couldnt believe it....NO MICROWAVE... guys come on in 2017 really!!...and then the lift also not stopping on all the floors, that wasn't ayoba at all... if you can improve on all that, ill come...
