This place does not even deserve a single star!!! What yo see on the internet is not always what it seems. I regret ever booking here and can not wait to leave this place.
First of all people at reception are not friendly at all, no customer skills at all.
Secondly,We were not told of parking fee that we had to pay on arrival,
Thirdly the whole hotel has a nasty smell from reception to the hotel rooms, carpets are smelly from the passages to the rooms.
4th, i had booked a family room and next thing we are given a double room, the lady was unapologetic about the mix up and didnt even offer to help moving our things to the right place. This family room only had one chair!!! While there is 4 of us.
5th, the cupboards are dirty and smelly, we couldn’t put pur clothes in there, they have been in our bags for the whole 3 night stay.
6th,The hotel room doesn’t even have a mino bar bridge nor a kitchen basin, if you need wayer you must get from the toilet!
7th , i requested a blanket and it will never delivered.
8th, morning after our first night, we left the room at 10am and came back around 2pm amd out rooms were still not clean and we were told the cleaners are busy!!! People ay receptiom were no help at all. We booked a family room amd a double room, both were not cleaned!!! The double room was still not cleaned till 4pm that day.
9th, same thing again, we came back to the hotel at 2pm and still the room was not cleanws.
10th, We been sleeping in the same sheets since day one, they are not changed and the beds were not even made Nicly.
11th window doesnt close well and the lighting in the room is poor!
12th we were only given 2 towels while there is 4 of us!
Complaining to the staff did us no justice , hope management takes these complains seriously because i do not recommend anyone to ever sleep here because the service is poor!!i really feel i wasted my money and disappointed my family as this was their first time in Durban and we get such a horrible service.

The room are large with big beds and chairs but very average to low accomodations. The price per room is highish but it is right on the beachfront which is essentially what you pay for, unfortunatelly this part of the beachfront has degraded substantially with constant hooting and vocal noise all night. It doesnt feel safe despite a police cubicle across the road. During the day the beach is nice at night its better to drive elsewhere which raises the issue of virtually no parking and which must be paid for. To park on tge street is a major risk according to security. The included breakfast was atrocious. The staff try to be helpful bur are little clueless at times. We decided here but I think air b &b would have been better then drive to Ushaka or near the Casino. Durban beach front looks great but seems to still have security concerns maybe the north coast is a beter choice if you have more time. Ps there are 2 gooderson hotels in case u dont know make sure which one you are at although...

Why would such a great located establishment still.have cupboards that look like they were there during world war 1? Don't even get me going on the stinking carpet, the tiny tv's, the bathrooms are so appalling. The whole place stinks of mould, yoh.
