While it is a budget hostel, and the location is a bit of a walk inside the back street, I did not expect it to be too luxury or anything special. What was strange was that eventhough I arrived before 10PM, there was nobody at the reception desk, and I had to call to be able to speak with someone for check in and being directed to a self check in machine. With my broken korean language skill, it was difficult but I made it at the end. The room has some black moulds and I had to plug off the mini fridge to be able to use the power point to charge my phone, mini fan and whatever else. And in the morning that mini fridge has produced some water on the floor after being thawed. Towels were provided but they were smelly. The bottom of the toilet were not sealed properly to the floor (the sillicone joint has worn off). The room is in need of renovation. I managed to do the self check out when I went downstairs the next morning (with the same machine). Then I realised I couldn’t get out via the entrance door that I got in the night before, because it was locked at around 11AM. After I rang the owner again, he directed me to leave by the back door. Then I was trying to find my way at the back area to go out to the street and catch a taxi. This hostel by far was the worst place I have stayed ever. I was glad I only booked...
Read moreThis place also called Gyeong's Hostel in other booking sites. Strange place, owner very nervous and stressful, not a good atmosphere, trying to hurry us up all the time. Very relieved to leave.||Small towels only provided for showers. Breakfast was slightly chaotic. Some areas of the hostel and room not well cleaned. It felt like staying in someone's apartment for a short while with piles of bedding left stacked up and signs that using these could earn you a charge. Bathroom was full of leftover shower and hair products for guests to use from other guests or the owner. Didn't feel very hygienic. Restaurant and bar space closed downstairs. Not much atmosphere, downright depressing at times. Location ok for the market but not very...
Read moreIs not a luxurious place at all, but it offers great value. The mattress was the best we've had in Korea so far. It was quiet and we rested very well. They have a great common space in the ground floor where you can warm up and eat your food or have coffee. The owner speaks great English and was very kind to us. I think if you're looking for budget options in Daegu, this one is a good choice. They even have parking lot, which was handy to store our bikes safely. I was a little worried when I saw the reviews at first but I would definitely...
