I will give an honest review of this hotel for the week I spent here on holiday with my grandad in March.
Location - great đđ». Was a 15 min walk to the old town and pubs and bars were all along the way. 5 min walk to the supermarket and order mini supermarkets were nearby. 15/20 min walk to the train station which we used multiple times during our stay (bear in mind this was an uphill walk). If you struggle with mobility then you may want to get a hotel closer to the new town as it is on a little hill. But not a problem for us as we did lots of walking.
Food - this hotels guests (as I will note a lot) is primarily Spanish, this may be because of the time of year we went or the hotel is more popular with Spanish but the food has more Spanish options than British food. Donât get me wrong there were chips and on some days there will be nuggets or pie. But there is more fresh food and 2 options of meat and fish is cooked every lunch and dinner which was great. Options of salads, bread, meat, rice, fish, fruit and desert (which was great and had different options each meal). Breakfasts were the same each day, hot food, pastry, biscuits and cereal. You could also have the option to order a âpicnicâ, which one picnic is enough for 2 people, you get 4 slices of bread, a small tin of meat, a tin of âsaladâ (better than it sounds), some fruit and some cake/biscuits with a bottle of water. Me and my grandad could share one between us so no complaints. Meal times were 8:00-10:00, 12:30-2:30 and 7:30-9:30. There would be good for everyone but if you were a very very picky eater you would struggle here.
Room - beds were very comfortable, slightly on the firmer side, air con was great. you could have the option for a safe, in which you get some of the deposit back at the end of your stay. We had a small issue of being put in a double when we booked a twin but we went to reception and it was sorted straight away and we changed rooms which was great. Bathrooms were clean and modern, room was slightly dated but clean and comfortable so no complaints. The tv only had 2 British channels that worked, itv and dmax (which we had to change the language to English but didnât work everytime as not all dmax shows were English). Maids could come in everyday and clean if requested. There is also a fridge in the room if you have any food you want to bring any leftovers from outside (we used it for some of the picnic food which we had too much of). Walls were a bit thin as we could hear the tv next door and could hear people in hallway but luckily there werenât many people about.
Pool and bar - sun didnât come around the pool area till about 1:30/2pm and pool was definitely not warm enough to swim but obviously itâs was March so the weather wasnât the hottest. Pool area was clean and plenty of seats, however I feel that in the hotter weather if there were more people in the hotel then there could possibly be a struggle for seats/sun-loungers. There was a gym that looked free to use, very small but had a treadmill, elliptical and some weights and yoga mats, so no room to complain there. You could order food from the bar at certain parts of the day, like burger, hotdog etc, and there was always someone at the bar.
One of the only issues I would probably say for us was that entertainment at nighttime started far too late. As we were up early and walking all day to different places in Benidorm and Spain, we felt the entertainment starting at 22:15 was far too late as we were too tired to stay up. Like I said it was a primarily a Spanish hotel so it has more of a Spanish lifestyle.
Staff - couldnât be better really, the reception staff helped us with the room change very quickly, you also order the picnic at reception for the day after. Bar and restaurant staff were friendly and speak English so if there was any enquiry they could probably answer it. Cleaners were very friendly also.
Overall I would give this hotel a 4/5. And would definitely stay here again âșïž good job...
Read moreA solid 3 star hotel set back from the beach in a quiet but relatively close to all setting. Approximately 900m walk downhill to the Levante Beach via the park, or a little over 1km walk downhill to the Poniente Beach. PROS: Clean, ability to select dinner or lunch in the half pension regime. CONS: Only two small elevators available, therefore unless you are prepared for long waits, reserve rooms on the 1st or 2nd floor. Keep in mind the bar lounge is at level -3 and dining room -2... Stairs are available. Dining room has air conditioning but it is only ventilated via small windows on the park side. Rooms are clean and equipped with a refrigerator and safe for an extra cost. The lighting level in the rooms is poor, they could do with extra lighting. We recommend room 212 or 312 which face the East with views of the ocean and park. Other rooms face either the hospital or park. Walking back from the old town centre or beach is uphill and can be a bit too much if loaded with chairs, bags, sun umbrella etc. Parking is outside and half price if reserved online and by registering as a Prince Park amigo. The smell of the dining room (food being prepared) often comes up from the -2 level via the staircase which was annoying at times. The food variety is somewhat limited, there are some variation but not as much as other buffets in similar hotels in Benidorm. The staff were helpful and courteous. We recommend the hotel if you don't mind walking the hills, waiting for the lifts or the reduced variety available in the buffet. Overall the hotel provides good value for money. We recommend the hotel but not for everyday beach goers. However if you don't mind the walk down and back up the hill Prince Park is a solid performer.... Stayed 1st...
Read moreJust stayed here for 8 days. Great value for money, no complaints at all. The location isnât ideal for anyone with mobility issues but if you know about this already then you canât complain.
Iâm not sure how child friendly it is because there doesnât seem much for children to do although i suspect there are hotels in the area specifically catered towards that.
Food was basic but tasty nonetheless and the breakfast menu was varied. I only ate once in the evening and that was a good selection also.
The pool area is bigger than in the pictures and we didnât have any trouble finding sunbeds each day although we were down for when the pool opened each day. Periodically throughout the day people would move so sunbeds would become available. Due to the movement of the sun, some parts of the pool area will be in shade because of the hotel building but this will change throughout the day, again this was no complaint.
There was a mix of people around the pool, if you are wanting complete silence then be aware that this may not be the place for you, however iâm not sure this is anything you can control in a place like Benidorm.
Drink prices at the bar were fair and the staff were all brilliant.
The room was good with no issues, we were in a room that was overlooking the concert venue and we were able to get a great view of Status Quo one of the nights.
Special mention that the hotel provided us with a complimentary bottle of prosecco due to it being a birthday.
Highly recommend this hotel due to its great...
