Mercadona — Local services in Benidorm

Good selection, reasonable prices.. slightly Hidden and recessed from view behind the stores carpark (the carpark is in front of the store, not behind). Great gluten free range of products (sin gluten), friendly and helpful staff although very few seem to speak or understand languages that aren't Spanish but helpful considering language barriers. If you plan on buying more groceries you can carry back to your accommodation by foot , ask an employee to order a taxi, they were very obliging and did as such for our group. If you want to shop for groceries in Spain, without having your arm twisted up your back, Mercadona is one of the best places to go. Essentials such as water are a fraction of the price at the minimarts. Fresh Food is usually very well kept and maintained. The stores are scrupulously clean. You can get a lot of 'English' products at Mercadona. Good rang of food ranging from under €1-to more quality food and genuine perfumes high end. Still cheaper than othet holiday out lets. You get the real stuff here. Like any where else on holiday draw shops more fake goods than genuine. But big super markets they only sell genuine food and drink with fancy goods. Good honest well priced food. Advice do not buy any food or drink from small shops all over Benidorm waiting to catch the tourist with at least 3x the price. Spanish owned are not so bad. Refused to...
