Finally back again to our favourite hotel!
My wife and I have travelled around the world and stayed on many different hotels. This is definitely one of our favourite hotels. Last time was in 2014 and since that time they have got a beautiful pool in the garden. Now everything is perfect!
Room no. 7 with the huge roof terrace and the outstanding personal service from the owner and rest of the staff in this hotel brings it to the top of my hotel bucket list – worldwide.
My wife and I prefer boutique hotel as compared to boring chain hotels because the owner always provides a more personal touch to its service.
The room (no. 7) was nicely decorated and had everything we needed with air condition, minibar/ cooler etc. The bed was Queen size and very comfortable. The bathroom had a bath with waterfall shower and was well decorated and very clean.
Breakfast provided is delicious and they really presented it well with an impressive selection of everything! The outside breakfast area is to die for (see my attached photos).
In summary, this is a very well-run hotel offering a very high standard of quality and service. I chose this hotel based on my last experience in 2014 and was not disappointed! We loved every moment of our stay and would highly recommend this place.

Romantic hotel with an amazing staff which make you feel like home!
This romantic and charming hotel is located in the historic centre of Cadaques, one of the most beautiful towns of the Costa Brava. From the time my wife and arrived the owners and staff went out of their way to ensure our stay was a first class experience – and let us feel like home!
Our room (7) had a beautiful bathroom with thermostatic shower, Wi-Fi (a little bit slow but ok), Smart TV, hairdryer, air conditioning, coffee machine, mini bar and safe an a very romantic and private terrace balcony overlooking the old town of Cadaques and the garden! (see attached photo).
The breakfast was one of the best on our holiday at Costa Brava! Plenty of fresh fruit, cheeses, breads, pastries all very fresh (see my photos). The garden is a delight with the restaurant area opening out on to it so you can eat inside or out. We try the restaurant for lunch and dinner. Great food and nice service!
It is a very easy walk to the centre of the town and the sea front (about 350m to the nearest beach). There is an on site parking at the hotel – and that’s great in a small town like Cadaques!
Hotel Horta d'en Rahola is an absolute gem so we will be back again soon. Highly recommended!

Read moreCadaques is a most beautiful village in Catalonia, well worth a visit, and we have been very fortunate to spend 4 nights from 10 to 14 June in Hotel Horta d'en Rahola. The first two nights were booked by the company organising our hiking trip and we extended for another two nights.||The hotel is very 'boutique' with no more than 12 rooms and located within walking distance from the old town of Cadaques, the harbour and the beaches. Despite the central location it is a little oasis of calm and quiet, especially at night.||It has a large garden with Mulberry trees and a pool to cool down after a day of hiking, sight seeing or simply exploring the sights of Cadaques. Most rooms seem to come either with their own balcony or in case of the garden rooms with a terrace with seating area.||Rooms are spacious, modern in a very neutral and bright way and clean with all the commodities one would expect in a ** hotel. We would definitely recommend booking the excellent breakfast (including freshly made orange juice!).||What makes it work though are the staff who are extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable when it comes to exploring Cadaques and surroundings! A visit to Cadaques would not be complete without a visit to the Dali house/museum and this can be booked out a week in advance. We left it too late to book tickets online but the friendly receptionist managed to organise tickets for us for the next day. Although reception is closed from late in the evening, there is a very pleasant seating area with an honesty bar.||Overall it has been the highlight of our 2 week hiking trip and we will have fond memories for the...
Read moreFrom the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Irene, who went above and beyond as our host. She offered thoughtful, honest recommendations for local activities and restaurants that truly enriched our experience—and she made sure my dietary needs were carefully accommodated. Irene is not only an exceptional host but a genuinely wonderful person.
Our room (#7) was beautifully appointed, spotless, and had a comfortable bed with a large terrace with views of the town and pool. The entire property is immaculate and welcoming, from the shaded pool area and peaceful gardens to the self-service breakfast space. The breakfast itself was relaxed, ample, and delicious, setting the perfect tone for each day.
Easy, stress-free parking and a quiet, welcoming atmosphere made our stay effortless. It's a short 5-6 minute walk to the sea, and most everything is walkable from this location.
Irene mentioned that at L’Horta d’en Rahola, they aim to make it feel like home—and they absolutely do. The team made us feel like family. If you're visiting Cadaqués and want a place that combines charm, comfort, and genuine care, L’Horta d’en Rahola is the...
