We stay at the Meliá Beach house so pass a few times a day, sitting for a meal on a busy roundabout isn’t really our kind of place but we were tired so decided to pop in. Service was initially slow (15 mins before drink order) but polite and friendly. I eventually ordered the mixed meat BBQ, and my wife the vegetarian pizza. I should add we were sat next to the outdoor BBQ at this point where my Meal would be cooked. After about 15 mins I noticed the pizza was brought out and after some heated words between the grill chef and the waiter it taken taken away. My own grill order was not at this point on the grill.... after another 20-25 mins my meal was brought to the table along with the the pizza. Overall my meal was fine, all cooked ok if a little ‘old oily’ in its overall flavour. My wife’s pizza was dry to say the least, it was clear to me this was the same pizza that had been brought out earlier. There was no sauce still in liquid form just a rock hard base and dry cheese and toppings. She tried to eat it and did eat 1/4 but gave up and told the waiter she didn’t want it and as it was gone 10pm she just asked for some chips instead. We made no fuss or actual complaint just said she didn’t want it, but the manager came over and started arguing with her, the issue being she had eaten some and if there was something wrong we should have told them after one bite.... perhaps we are too polite..
The Manager could learn something from such manners though, I was laughing at his attitude, we hadn’t actually said we didn’t want to pay for it, just that if was (clearly and visibly) inedible so she’ll have something else quick.
Of course after his shocking attitude when he presented the full bull including chips I had no intention of doing so. And after a brief discussion and basically denying the pizza had been made way before my meal and suggesting my wife was lying about it being dry (no eyes in head?) it was removed.
I should also add my own meal was €23 the pizza only €11, And with drinks I would have tipped more than the cost of the pizza had he not been...
Read moreWe recently had a meal here during a Stag Weekend in Magaluf.
One of the chaps pulled it up on Google due to the good reviews and we walked to see it. All I can say is do not be put off by the drab looking exterior.. as he made a cracking choice! This is a brilliant restaurant, with exceptional food and fantastic service. The cleanliness inside the restaurant is great.
Excellent choice acros the menu for food and drinks.
There were 10 of us in total and nobody had any issues with the food at all! (One exception for this was how cooked the steaks were, but this is a culture issue, as they were used to Medium rare in a Wetherspoons in the UK and not a tidy European restaurant!)
I would eat there again without hesitation. I highly recommend if you are...
Read moreWorst ever dinning experience avoid this place unless you want to be ill.
Raw chicken was served and they then put the chicken back on the grill and just cut the end piece off but we knew it was the same piece and it came back like rubber
very poor quality steaks full of fat and were inedible and we left them
The jacket potatoes which have sat on the BBQ in foil all day and then when we unwrapped the potatoes from the foil the jackets were jet black and full of carbon which is a health hazard
The waiter and manager were embarrassed and said they had a new chef and will sort it . If they don’t they won’t have a business
My advice is to Avoid this restaurant
Update … 24 hours post meal My mum now has food poisoning from the raw chicken that...
