Hotel NH Castellón Mindoro — Hotel in Castelló de la Plana

This is what I expected from a nice hotel. We arrived with our bikes, but unfortunately, about a mile out, it started to rain. When we arrived in the lobby, I noticed that we had left some tire marks on the floor, so I thought the staff would give us a hard time taking our bikes to our room. Nope. They didn’t say a word. ||The room and the whole place was very clean. After staying at the lousy Senator Parque Central Hotel where the mattress was the worst I’ve slept on during this trip, it was great to stay at a real 4-star again. The Senator is really a 3-star pretending to be a 4-star due to their staff. In contrast, the staff here is top notch.||Also, the extra toiletries like toothbrushes, combs, shaving kit, etc. are a great touch. I especially found the quality of the slippers to be thick and fluffy, unmatched by any other hotel I’ve stayed at. I took them with me for the rest of the trip since not all hotels provide them. ||The breakfast was good, and the kitchen will cook what you want to order. I was under the weather, so didn’t oblige so can’t give a better opinion. The only bad thing was the coffee maker didn’t really have an easy way to make cappuccino. However, the hostess gladly made them for us in the kitchen.||When we left the next day, the receptionist noticed our bikes and offered us bottled water to fill out bottles. I had a wonderful experience at NH Castellón Mindoro. The service was outstanding from the moment I arrived. The staff was welcoming, friendly, and always ready to help. They made sure I had everything I needed during my stay.||||The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The bed was perfect for a great night’s sleep, and the room had a modern feel with all the amenities I could ask for. I loved the bright natural light and the peaceful atmosphere.||||The location of the hotel is excellent, right in the heart of Castellón, close to shops, restaurants, and main attractions. I could easily walk around the city and discover local gems without any hassle. The hotel also has a good gym and restaurant, which added to the convenience of my stay.||||What I liked the most was the friendliness of the staff and the comfort of the room. If I had to pick something to improve, I would suggest a few more options for special diets at breakfast, but overall, everything was great.||||I would highly recommend NH Castellón Mindoro for anyone visiting Castellón. Very clean rooms, good size with extra seating plus a desk and chair. Room cleaned to high standard daily. Front of house staff were very friendly and welcoming, very good English which was appreciated. Great location with numerous bodegas and places to eat & supermarket very close by. Short walk to main shopping district as well. Our only negative was no coffee making facilities in the room.

14/08/25: Return trip to NHMindoro as we visit to see family. Excellent stay, beautiful room, with a lovely en-suite - frosted glass partition from main bedroom, which made for a very light room. Coffee making facilities this time which was really appreciated. We opted for a breakfast this time and were delighted. So much to choose from and all delicious. Loved the individual fruit salads. They even have a children’s area with decorated bowls & cutlery, bibs and colouring mats.
