BEWARE!!! I always avoid getting emotional while reviewing, but this time I feel I should warn you. We’ve been on a 3-week trip around Spain visiting many places and staying in a lot of hotels. One of them was to be Hotel Rustico Spa Finisterrae, as it’s nicely located and beautifully furnished. On the night before our arrival at 2 am, I got a text informing me there was a problem processing my card (NB I paid by this card a few times on that day and the following days with no problems), so if I wanted to keep my reservation, I should act immediately. Therefore I phoned the hotel reception (the hotel not a private number) at 7.30 -no reply. I called a few more times after 8 o’clock without being answered. I asked the receptionist in the Hotel Playa de las Catedrales for help and he called Finisterrae from a Spanish number. This time the call was answered promptly, but after about 1 minute the receptionist hung up and apologising to me for having to smoke, he explained he’d never talked to such a rude person. Needless to say, how important it is to have somewhere to stay while traveling from place to place, I and my wife decided to give up our itinerary for that day as we knew the reservation must be kept till 3 o’clock. We were there about 2, and from the start the owner shouted and I mean SHOUTED at me: ‘How did you dare to call me at 7.30 in the morning?’ When I tried to explain I phoned a hotel reception, not a private number, he began banging his hand on the reception desk still shouting: ‘It’s my life and my hotel!’. Trying not to lose my temper, when I asked him to check my credit card and charge it in advance, he ordered me to GET OUT OF HIS HOTEL!!! I believe this person should not be allowed to run a business requiring dealing with people. The man obviously has some kind of mental problem, so you’d better stay...

What a shame ! this was the worst hotel we have ever been to ! The boss ( or maybe just an employee ) was so rude and unfriendly : I have never been welcomed like this in my entire life, especially in a hotel !!!!! Me and me friend had only booked a night last minute, without breakfast included. In the morning we change our mind around 10:15 thinking we would at least have a coffee before heading to Portugal. We knew breakfast was only until 10:30 but still wanted to ask just in case if we could quickly pop by and buy a coffee and what remains from the budget. God what a terrible idea it ruined my morning. The guy lectured us saying hours were to be respected, that we did not make the whole booking properly etc etc.. He was so aggressive and irritated I had to point it out to him, to which he literally answered : "Hours are hours, you feel mistreated thats your problem, and if you think I will get down on my knees to talk to you, you're in the wrong place and you better get out" Who talks to a customer like this ? In times of pandemic thus economic crisis, who treats like this the few customers remaining ? This goes without saying that the hotel is called "spa" on Booking but never showed any kind of facilities or amenities for "wellness" . Pool was closed one day before we booked, and this was never mentioned to us of course. + One of our two beds was hard as a rock my friend couldn't sleep all night. And since we were in a street level bedroom we were woken up at 6 am : dogs barking and roadworks ! I do not recommend this hotel at all ! The only nice thing was the lady at the desk, super nice...

Beautiful place, unfriendly people. The hotel is in a great location, our room was beautiful, but our experience with the staff (likely the owner) was bad. The reception was rarely staffed, and when there was someone around, nobody spoke English well enough to understand basic requests. Misunderstandings that arose from language barriers were blamed on the guests. We asked for an extra blanket, and the response was incredulity and ridicule. There were three (!) different sets of rules and prohibitions posted, but the wifi code was nowhere to be found - you had to ask. There is a library in the lobby, but guests are not allowed to read the books. The place generally feels like a museum rather than a place of hospitality, and the hosts emanate an air of barely tolerating guests, certainly not welcoming them.

Hidden a short walk uphill from the village center, this beautiful and relaxed hotel it a real gem. The building itself is beautiful and all rooms and spaces are maintained and decorated beautifully. The calm and relaxing music everywhere makes you wind down immediately. Very friendly and helpful team. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean (with a view of the Atlantic and perfect sunsets). The pool in the beautiful garden space was relaxing and perfect to just sit at and read. Nice breakfast with great details and a stunning view.

Liked this hotel very much! It is not expenssive, it has it's own swimming pool, the staff is cheerful and helpful...But do not speak English a lot...So, if you do not know Spanish...You can face some misunderstandings...All in all the impressions are great. The hotel offers hot meals also...But as for me...It's better to go to some local restaurant:) on the photos is the swimming pool...And the view from the 2.Nd floor room..It is a bit sad view...Because the weather was foggy a bit...The view in general is beautiful
