Hola Hostal — Hotel in l'Hospitalet de Llobregat

Some good and some bad. It's a cheap hostel so this was to be expected. I generally recommend the place if you don't want to spend a fortune on a mediocre hotel room in the area.

The good : Good service and they're open 24/7 so you can check in any time. Air conditioning. Soap in the showers. Hairdryer in the bathrooms. Towels aren't free so bring your own if you can. Rooms aren't noisy and a curtain protects your privacy. Might be that I was lucky so bring earplugs just in case. Good location, close to the most important metro and bus stations. Safe neighborhood even during the night. Vending machines for food, cold drinks and coffee. Each bed has its own numbered safe that you can use with your room keys. Plenty of space in it too.

The bad: The smell of the air freshener is way too strong and it's seriously bothering. Rooms are hot even with the air conditioning (at least during the summer). Beds and sheets could be cleaner but nothing too bad. Not all of the personnel is able to...

Good for the price. Yes, the bathroom smells like chlorine, and the lockers sometimes don't lock, the lights are sensor activated, but turned completely off at night. It was a bit annoying, but managable with your personal bunk light. We didn't see any other younger people during our stay at the hostel. The mixed gender 6 bed dorm is like a hallway. Over all though, i slept well, and the close walk to the metro station was very convenient. Theres a metro line directly to that station from the airport that makes it very easy to get to. I would not stay there alone, as a woman. But in our group of 5, we basically took over one six bed room, so it was rather nice. They also play music rather loudly in the loby, and wil our dorm right off the loby, we could hear it all day. They did shut it off at night, but it made napping hard. Mi estancia en Hola Hostel Barcelona fue, sin exagerar, una experiencia de cinco estrellas que superó todas mis expectativas. Si buscas un lugar donde sentirte cómodo, seguro y bienvenido en Barcelona, ¡este es tu sitio! Lo primero que te impacta es el equipo. Desde el check-in hasta el check-out, el personal siempre tiene una sonrisa en el rostro y son súper atentos y simpáticos. Su calidez hace que te sientas como en casa desde el primer momento. Esta amabilidad genuina es, sin duda, uno de los grandes pilares de este hostel y un motivo clave para mi deseo de volver sin dudarlo. El ambiente entre los huéspedes es muy tranquilo, lo que facilita la convivencia. Además, es un punto de encuentro fantástico para conocer gente increíble de todo el mundo. Es muy fácil entablar conversación y hacer nuevas amistades, lo que enriquece muchísimo la experiencia de viaje. Las habitaciones son compartidas, pero aquí viene el gran diferenciador: ¡las camas tienen cortinas! Esto proporciona una privacidad sorprendente, transformando una litera en un pequeño santuario personal donde puedes descansar sin interrupciones. Un detalle que marca una enorme diferencia. Además, todas las áreas comunes y las habitaciones cuentan con aire acondicionado, un alivio perfecto para los días cálidos de Barcelona. La cocina es espectacular, equipada con ABSOLUTAMENTE TODO lo que puedas necesitar para cocinar, servirte y comer cómodamente. Es un espacio funcional, limpio y muy bien organizado. Y hablando de limpieza, el hostel es impecable en todas sus áreas. Se nota un gran cuidado en mantener cada rincón pulcro. Los baños también están muy limpios. Mi única pequeña sugerencia, que apenas empaña la excelencia general, sería mejorar la estructura de las duchas en el baño masculino para ofrecer más privacidad. Fuera de este pequeño detalle, todo lo demás es simplemente excepcional. En resumen, Hola Hostel Barcelona es un lugar excelente que recomiendo encarecidamente.
