Wow, this was one of my favourite hotels for sure!
Room: Impeccable room, very modern, air-conditioning, heating, bluetooth to listen to music, different types of lights, working space, beautiful decoration, modern bathroom and amazing shower. Location: perfect location, you can reach everything in a couple of minutes. Personal: very friendly and helpful staff. As soon as we arrived they explained the city map to us, shared nice tips, and helped us a lot to plan our days in Logroño. All the staff in the hotel were super nice. Spa: perfect! I love the idea that you have to reserve the spa/pool for private use. For me it was a thousand times better than a shared pool with children screaming around, etc. You can have the spa with pool, saunas, and showers only for you/ your family and totally relax. It was very much worth it. My husband and I also had a massage, which was fantastic! The two massage ladies were great professionals and very friendly. Gym: small but nice gym with modern and nice equipments. Clean and tidy. Food: breakfast was the best, I cannot imagine how it could be improved. I think it was the best hotel breakfast I have ever seen. It was so complete! Food was fresh, many options, savory, sweet, fruits... everything you need you can find there.
Points for improvement: 1. the toilet paper was very thin, and only two small ones were in the room. 2. There was no handsoap in the bathroom... Of course, you can ask for these items at the reception, but it is easier and nicer when they are already in the room. They provided toothbrush, toothpaste, a comb, but not the essential things like hand soap or cotton.
Overall: our stay was perfect and I recommend staying...
Read moreBeautiful hotel in a historic looking building right in one of the central squares of old town. It doesn’t get more central than this for walking everywhere. We inadvertently were in Logroño right in the middle of the Rioja wine festival (San Mateo) though, so it also meant hearing partying and music until 3am — but not their fault! They did send us parking instructions that didn’t work because of road closures though, so we paid to park quite a bit further away on one of the bigger streets surrounding old town. That aside, the property is beautiful and the rooms are extremely comfortable and well-outfitted. Comfortable beds, nice showers, etc. The 3rd-floor terrace overlooking the main square is nice too — a great place for a bar. But the bartender there was extremely rude, insisting to leave the awning out for “other guests” because of “the rain” (on a clear, sunny afternoon with 2 other people there) — when I just wanted to take some photos of the beautiful scenery. It opens and retracts with the push of a button in 5 seconds by the way. So I’d love to share a pretty photo from...
Read moreThis hotel stands out as one of the top places to stay known to me world wide. My experience stems from five star hotels in the US, Asia, and across Europe.
The setting and ambiance is impeccable, likewise are the location and service offers exactly what could be expected.
What strikes the extra flair is the staff and among them the manager Laura with her great team of Helena, Nathalie, and Juanco.
Laura is the quintessential luxury hotel manager; embodying complete excellence in the service of guests, with a tactful personal touch that I find both rare and exquisite. I had the privilege to witness this not just personally, but also in her contact with other guests.
In my experience this type of manager is the true resource of a hotel such as Áurea Palacio de Correos.
Thank you for a memorable stay, I look forward to...
