Taberna de Correos — Restaurant in Logroño

🚨 Tourist warning: they overcharge.

Last stop of the night, we stopped by Taberna de Correos for some choice pintxos and wine.

We ordered a bunch of pintxos (see pictures) and shared everything. Compared to other tapas bar, we liked everything that we ate. Food was good.

We were having fun, the waitress was not particularly communicating and had a bad attitude, not being very pleasant, but we did not bother too much, I guess she was having a bad day, happens to all of us and I sympathize with the service industry.

However, what is unacceptable, is stealing from people.

There were 4 of us, we ordered once, one glass per person. Pretty easy to remember as there were only 3 tables at that time.

She sneakily charged us 7 glasses instead?!

I guess she thought we would not see it. We did. That was not a mistake. In 3 weeks this did not happen anywhere. Except here.

Stealing from tourists? Congratulations, you have just earned your 1-star review.

The local was amazingly chill, we had a great stay, with curious music and a lovely service. The waitress was phenomenal and treated us so kindly! No volvemos mas, le pedimos un crianza y nos sacan un jose madrazo de 3,5€ la copa sin avisar y el pincho de morro que no se parecía nada al de los mostradores, con el pan duro, cuando he ido a reclamarle al camarero, me ha salido una chica, diciendo ser la dueña toda ofendida faltando el respeto, una impresentable. Encima no acepta criticas, solo contesta diciendo que tiene muchas mas valoraciones positivas, la verdad que podría por lo menos poner un poco de empeño en mejorar esas criticas negativas ya que la gente se fija en estas y no en las positivas con comentarios aislados, con una pequeña disculpa por parte de la dueña bajita morena, hubiera sido mas que suficiente, pero viendo los demas comentarios no me ha extrañado su pésima reacción. Pero no me extraña, por las respuestas a los comentarios negativos, si hubiera uno o dos seria algo aislado pero tantas reseñas negativas, es porque no les interesa que vuelvas. En nuestro caso nos ha respondido la reseña pero luego se ha echado para atrás,...
