DEBOD HOSTEL — Hotel in Madrid

The beds are clean but there is no distinction between the hall and so called rooms. The fact is there is only one big room with maybe 50 or more beds. Extremely noisy all night long. Definitely not a place to sleep. So if you want to sleep choose somewhere else. The images on various booking websites are deceiving as they show as there are bigger beds and separate rooms. We were 3 people and none of us slept more than 2 hours after a day of almost 30kms walking.

Moreover there is no kitchen like place at all. There is a kettle...

Staff is friendly. Bed is not bad. It has courtains. It is just one big room with all the beds (i guess 50 beds) inside. So there is always noise. There are no windows and the airconditioner makes a sound and does not work to good - the air inside is thick and stinky. The worst thing for me was, that there are quite bright ligths, that are on the whole night (see picture). There is one big mixed bathroom with 6 showers and toilets (3 for men and 3 for women) There is no real community room. And the hostel is a little bit outside...

Such a great hostel!! Nearly refurbished, new stuff, curtains are a must as it gives you privacy, slept really good the whole period we were there for 4 nights, great area to chat with others, very nice people. He only speaks Spanish...
