A truly wonderful hotel with exceptional service! The view was absolutely stunning—falling asleep and waking up to the sound and sight of the ocean was such a peaceful, memorable experience. Due to a power outage in Portugal, I was only able to stay for half of my booking, and arrived late at night after a last-minute cancellation. Despite the challenges, the hotel staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed and cared for. Their kindness and hospitality made all the difference. It’s the small gestures that truly elevate a guest’s experience, and I’m so grateful for the way they handled everything with warmth and professionalism.

Excellent location, service, and room. The included breakfast was delicious and delivered each morning (with multiple options) and the staff was incredibly attentive to any needs via WhatsApp. The hotel was clean and well kept, located on a quiet street, but with easy access to the beach either down the road downhill or down a large staircase. The location is convenient for both beach time as well as visiting Old Town via a 20 minute walk. Highly recommend for a trip to San Sebastián.

I can not say enough nice things about the staff and this amazing location. My first time in Spain and in San Sebastián. Maja Ani,Mora, and Ruben, thank you for filling my heart and soul with joy. Your kindness and the time you all took with me to explain all things to me will not be forgotten. Rainbows, ocean views, delicious breakfasts were but a few of the incredible experiences I had staying here. Mucho Gracias to you all❤️🇪🇸❤️

I booked through Hotels.com. I booked off season for over $105 per night. I expected a bathroom in the room. But there wasn't. Nothing in the reservation about a shared bathroom. Room extremely small and you hear every noise from other rooms. There are some nicer rooms with views here and that is what they use on their website. Nothing about this small room with no bathroom or sink. Closet very small and I hardly found found it. Some of the mattresses are awful. They are charging a lot for the location and that some rooms have great views. But property not well maintained and more like the Bates Motel. Reception is not here at night and comes in later in the day and can only be communicated with through WhatsApp. And they often don't get back to me. I left midway and went to 4 start hotel (for about the same price!!!) This is a rip off. Make sure that confirm that you get a room with a bathroom and view or don't do it.

Follow-up: Last week, I filled a charge dispute for San Sebastian hotel Far Out Inn. I booked a 4 night stay but I did not realize it was for a shared bathroom and towels. Considering the three star rating and price, I did not expect to share a bathroom. It was booked through Hotels.com. and the booking confirmation was in Spanish although I am an English speaker. The booking noted that it was a shared bathroom and towels (this is according to Hotel.com) in the small print under amenities. But I don't know why it was not more clearly noted during COVID and not under amenities. I contacted both Hotels.com and Far Out Inn after I left the hotel after two nights because of the shared bathroom and towels, construction in the hotel, and limited access to reception, which was not on site during the morning and late evenings. They could only be reached by WhatsApp and did not always reply to my concerns. They did offer me to move to another room with a bathroom, but for $100 more. But the bed was awful and much worse than the bed I had in the small room with shared bath. (That bed was actually good.) But the bedroom with it's own bathroom had a very bad mattress that sunk and had no support. As someone with a bad back, I could not take that room (which I understood was for only two nights when I had three nights left). So, on October 7, I moved out of the hotel two days before my checkout date of 10/9. I moved in to a Barcelo hotel on October 7. The Barcelo hotel was for less than the room with the private bath and poor mattress. I was very happy at Barcelo. Amazing. As a result, I sought a reimbursement for the last two nights because I immediately made my concerns noted about the shared bathroom and towels during COVID, the construction, and limited availability of reception. I was told by Hotels.com that I could not receive any compensation because it was stated in small print in another language than my native tongue that I had mistakenly booked a shared bathroom. The hotel, Far Out Inn, said that Hotels.com was responsible for any refunds. But, in a recent email, Hotels.com said it was the hotel, Far Out Inn, that was responsible for any refunds as they were not supposed to demand payment before my stay (which they did in several emails). Far Out Inn acknowledged the construction but could only provide me another room with a private bath for 100 eu. The room was unacceptable because of a very bad bed (I had back surgery so I needed a good mattress) so I moved to Barcel hotel, which was very satisfactory. I've attached the recent message exchanges from Hotels.com and...

Never seen such an awful place, with people that threaten you, the receptionist very unfriendly. Well… it was more or less clean but a while after I turned the lights off I noticed something was tingling, some things were ratty. I couldn’t even sleep, It was a lot of people hanging out around my room and police being called, so it was impossible to sleep during the night. The receptionist lady has a very bad attitude and is very rude when saw me with my dogs when this hotel is supposed "pets friendly". She used my bank account to take out money without advising me or talking first. We knew there was a Pet Fee.. But come one! More expensive than human fees? My dogs weight 1.5kg and 7kgs…

When I got back I tried to speak with her, but it was impossible, totally unpolite! She said "if you don’t like it leave," but i couldnt leave since they had charged the room already and refund was not possible

Left as early as possible because we just wanted to get out of there because we couldn’t cancel, unfortunately. I even tried calling to get my money back which didn’t work. Definitely wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it to anyone.

This place was so disgusting. Horrible customer service, horrible beds and not comfortable, worst experience ever. DO NOT EVER...

Wow what a wonderful stay this is. It's a converted mansion, with the rooms on the top floor, facing the beautiful bay.

There are sweeping and unobstructed views of the beach and the bay, and even views to the old/town. We loved spending time people watching and chatting about the views.

The room was cozy, and you can leave the door slightly ajar to listen to the waves as you fall asleep.

Breakfast was delightful. You could tell it was made with care, and so many options available, it was a great way to start the day. It was served in your room and you could eat it while watching the world wake up.

The staff are all lovely and friendly, taking the time to explain the rooms and all the processes. Yoga and meditation were a great complimentary addition.

Easy access to the beach down below, and a short walk downhill to the city centre/old quarter. We took the bus back up the hill (pay with card) to save the walk.

We booked directly on their website as they had the best rates. Communication was easy through email, and they spoke perfect English. Parking is available.

If driving in, it's the gated mansion, and they will buzz you in the driveway. Once parked, walk all the way up to the gate for the main entrance.

It was a lovely stay, and we would...
