DECEPTION, DECEIT We booked 20 days in advance at this dump. The credit card was charged immediately. At check-in the hotel was closed. A notice on the wall asked us to call a telephone number (620 80 10 57). I tried several times without success. When I got through, the person said they would send codes by email. It took us hours to access the flat (which looked clean). A hotel with no reception, no service, we felt like dirt. There was no-one to turn to for help. It was terrible! The booking included car parking and breakfast. Our car spent two nights on the street because there is no car park (as promised before booking). Breakfast is served in a bar/hotel 400 metres away. It was raining and we couldn't have breakfast. And many other guests we met in front of the building were equally disgusted. DECEASING. THE WORST EXPERIENCE OF OUR LIVES. WE DON'T RECOMMEND IT.... THEY CHEATED US AND THEY WILL CHEAT YOU!!!

We reserved a room for two nights in large part because the hotel advertised a shared kitchen. The "kitchen" was in fact the remains of what looked like a breakfast area off the lobby. A stool with a sign on it prohibited guests from accessing so much as water at the sink, even while an electric kettle and motley collection of tea bags and instant coffee were left out. We asked for a breakfast voucher at the sister hotel a block away and were told the kitchen would immediately be opened. It wasn't. An email to the hotel was ignored. Booking.com's intervention on our behalf was similarly ignored. The room was okay and the price was right, so we thought, given the promised access to a shared kitchen. Instead, this establishment appears comfortable falsely advertising and ignoring guests calling them on it. Proceed with caution.

During our recent stay at Hotel Capital de Galicia, we encountered several issues that left us dissatisfied with the experience. Firstly, the establishment felt more like a motel than a hotel, which was not what we expected based on the booking information. The atmosphere and amenities did not align with the typical standards of a hotel.|A significant inconvenience was the requirement to check in online. We were not informed about this process in advance, which caused unnecessary confusion and delays upon arrival. This lack of communication made the check-in experience frustrating, especially for a group.|Furthermore, we did not receive the rooms or services we had initially booked. This mismatch between our booking and what was provided was disappointing and did not meet our expectations. . As a result, two members of our group were forced to share a single room, which was not what we had arranged or expected.|Additionally, we were required to go to a different location for breakfast, which added to the inconvenience and disrupted the convenience typically expected from a hotel stay.| |Overall, I would not recommend Hotel Capital de Galicia for group stays. The misleading presentation, poor communication regarding check-in procedures, and failure to deliver what was booked contributed to an...

I initially looked at Air BnB but very few ensuite rooms so this is exceptional value for a hotel room and a single at that with quite a large bathroom. |I stayed here 6 days after finishing the Camino and it is a good choice and excellent location. ||The bus stop for the airport bus -6A- is a few doors down. Bus costs 1 euro - yes 1 euro!||It is also a road above the Camino Frances and close to the Camino Ingles. 10-15 mins walk to the old city, 30 mins /5 euro taxi to the bus and train station.||Over the main road is the large shopping centre- As Cancelas- with food court, Carrefour, Primark, Zara, etc. NB all shops closed Sundays and a lot of bars but food court and cinema open.||In a residential area so it is a lot quieter than in the centre / old part.||Run by a father - Pepe- and son Ruben- they offer a very very clean hotel which is maintained well. They are also on hand all the time and very helpful.||Pepe having run a cafe in Fulham, London, they also have Tetley tea bags and can make a pot of British tea unlike most places in Spain.||I would definitely recommend as budget friendly...
