Kandy City Mission — Hotel in Sri Lanka

I had a very nice stay first time so I would put 5*. But.... After one week I wanted comeback so I called morning if I can get my old room or other one not facing the street. I was told by a person who answer the call YES. I think it was the manager. So basicaly I had a phone reservation. When I show up at the reception I was told that hotel is full. Some two days already full. When I said I called morning and I was told to come, room for me will be ready, this fact was not acknowledged, they even didń know about that. Guy just shrug shoulders, not apology or any help. So I had to go search other hotel what was not exactly nice after 8 hours in bus... Such thing should not happen in...

The hotel is located in the center of Kandy and is within walking distance of Dalada Maligawa (Temple of the Tooth). Please note that food must be purchased from outside. It’s a budget-friendly hotel—I stayed one night here, and it cost only 5000 rupees for a non A/C four-bedroom accommodation. Perfectly adequate room. Fan, hot shower. Convenient location. Who can complain for the price? Rooms on road ride affected by traffic noice. Would be great if they offer yea/ coffee even if they charge extra. Bit overall bang for your buck.
