海邊邊民宿 — Hotel in Hualien City

The only great thing about this place is the proximity to the sea and night market. Stayed on the 2nd floor. (FYI-the building is different from the checkin counter building, just a short 1min walk away) I could literally hear the waves crashing from my room when I open the window. The window is pretty sound proof. When I close it, the sound of the waves is almost gone. Since I'm staying on the second floor, I think the 1st floor might be disturbed. When I walk, the sound of my feet seems loud (stomping) even walking simple steps. I'm only 49kg. Hope I don't disturb anyone staying below.

The bed is bad and I mean it. Squeaky even when I get off the bed to use washroom. Any slight movement could wake your spouse up.

Aircon is terrible. The moment I switched it on, the black dust flew out as though it wasn't used for ages.

Toilet has a damp, musty smell. I asked my spouse about it and he said he thought it was body odour left by the previous dude.

Hotel provided infant bathtub (IKEA brand) and a random brand stool. It was clean.

Breakfast provided was two burgers and a red tea (hot and cold) for two adults. Burger consist of pork patty, egg, lettuce and mayo. They would leave it out by the door around 8am. I don't think the timing can be changed since they didn't ask me my preferred time. Brought my breakfast down to the broadwalk to enjoy the view.

Cleanliness overall is poor since I'm travelling with an infant. The only upside is convenience to the beach and night market. Then again the beach isn't accessible to the sand/sea. It is limited to the broadwalk. Breakfast is delicious but something I can do without since there are numerous options in the area.

I recently stayed in a double bedroom. Overall, it was a basic stay with both positive and negative aspects. The double bedroom was neither too spacious nor too cramped, providing a comfortable setting for a brief stay. One inconvenience was the difficulty in opening and closing the bathroom door, some attention to this detail would improve the overall guest experience. Suggestion for improvement would be to add English translations to the shampoo and bath wash labels so that foreigners can understand. The water dispenser located on the ground floor was a bit inconvenient, but manageable for a short stay. A major plus point for the hotel is its walking distance to Dongdamen Night Market. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the room was a significant drawback. There were many small ants everywhere, which was not only unpleasant but also impacted the overall comfort of the stay. Had the best stay here! Staff is so welcoming and nice. I was sick when I check in, he went to get me meds from doctors, and then brought me in breakfast the next morning! I also booked a tour via them, they charged me no additional fee! ( another guy I met on the tour got charged by his hotel/home stay) additional 100)

Also the room is tidy and clean, very comfy! I would definitely comeback to stay next time!
