There are plenty of local foods near and we have received excellent service from the stores that sells taiwanese steamed burger, rice rolls and soy beancurd! In the morning, you can get fresh youtiao and soymilk from just across the hotel at one of the local shops.||||Reception was friendly and they had a lot of patience when dealing with my numerous questions about itinerary planning. We did not have an idea of what would be the best to do in Hualien but our questions got answered very clearly by the male receptionist. It was easy to arrange private drivers for day trip to taroko gorge and other areas and sort out laundry too. Read moreAn affordable place if your looking for somewhere to stay in hualien. Despite the hotel being far from Hualien main station, it's evenly distanced from a few of the main attractions in the area. The local bus drivers and tour busses know the hotel well and can offer to pick you up in the morning from the hotel.
The service here is impeccable and the staff are fluent in English. The lobby also offers a nice variety of taiwanese snacks (chips) for you to eat in your room as well as tea and coffee.
Plenty of foreign movie channels are available on TV including HBO which is great if you are feeling lazy.
Unfortunately we did have an ant infestation in the room so try not to leave any foodstuffs lying around...
